We were talking about Buckwheat Cakes, yep, we were. Why? Well, Mom’s Mom lives where they have a Buckwheat Festival every year and part of what they do is fix Buckwheat Cakes for the humans to eat. Okay, okay, we decided that we really didn’t know what Buckwheat Cakes are, but they sale them to raise money to help the volunteer fire put out humans. That sounds like a good thing, because those big red trucks that the fire put out humans ride are probably pretty expensive. So we took a vote, and three out of four of us decided that if humans eat them then we could give them a try too. The one no vote was Sister Sascha.

Sister Sascha says
I ain’t eating no stinking Buckwheat Cakes
We’ve never been to a festival either, and I’m not sure that we would like all of the humans and all of the noise. But it’s a good thing for the humans to have festivals, especially when it raises money for a good cause. After all, we’re all the time raising money to help critters, aren’t we all!!! I’d even try a bite of Buckwheat Cake if it helps. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it! Purrrr! Zip! Later!
We checked with Mom and even the humans here don't know what buckwheat cakes taste like. We suppose we could try them for a good cause and the fire people are a good cause. Our Grandpa was a fireman before he retired. ~S,S,C & F
We hopes you will be at Asta's party today

Sister Sasha looks very fluffy

(My Mommy loves cakes 😉
Sister Sascha is a ladycat of discriminating tastes! She does look awfully cute with her tongue hanging out like that. She seems to like giving folks the raspberry as I recall!
I think I could like buckwheat cakes. I like weird things though. Last night I discovered a love for creamed spinach…
We're not sure if we would like buckwheat cakes either (we don't really eat human foods much) but we're pretty sure we wouldn't like festivals. And we know we wouldn't like creamed spinach! Yucky! (That may be The Mommy influencing us there… MOL)
Purrs and hugs,

We wouldn't go for all the noise at festivals either, but agree they are for a good cause. Creamed spinach – double yuck!
Our mom actually LIKES buckwheat, but a lot of humans don't, so we'll be interested to see what you think!
I'm not sure what buckwheat is, but it doesn't sound good. My kitties are picky here. They prefer the simple raw meat and cheese.
We don't know what buckwheat tastes like either – we think maybe like pancakes (buckwheat pancakes sound familiar) but we don't know for sure. We think that the pancakes we have at our house aren't usually the buckwheat kind. The syrup part is yummy though.
Henry loves pancakes, er, the syrup anyway!
Cindy
hmmmm… never tried pancakes of any kind with the General Population. hmmmmm…
Most of our nine are with you Sascha, but at at least one would give buckwheat cakes a try.
