Purrs 4 Peace Week 14

Hello everyone, we’re participating in Purrs 4 Peace Week 14. This week is directed to putting an end to sexual predators because CHILDHOOD SHOULD BE FUN, children should be safe and healthy.

According to reports, there are approximately 674,000 convicted sex offenders in the United States. Frighteningly, an estimated 100,000 of those convicted have failed to register with local authorities as required. Police efforts to keep track of these dangerous predators living in our communities have been thwarted by the sheer numbers. This is particularly worrisome given that Department of Justice statistics show that sex offenders are four times as likely to be arrested for another sex crime after release from prison than other offenders.

Don’t forget to stop by and visit the Confucius Cat’s Blog, he is after all our fearless leader on the Purrs 4 Peace project.

Purring 4 Peace Starts Now

The appointed time for Week 14 is Sunday, September 13, 2009. Participants should purr for three minutes commencing at 3:00 p.m.. EDT (U.S.) which is 8:00 p.m. (20:00 hrs.) BST in the U.K. The cat’s human staff should assist their cats with the project by stroking and nuzzling the cat at the appointed time.

You look very comfy there purring for peace. I apologize for our lack of participation. We will purr now for peace. My mom is neglecting us and won't let me use the puter much.

If all the cats in the world would purr at once, it would be a powerful force that could overcome any evil!

By the way, you're LOLs are up on the LOLSpot right now! I didn't know what city or town you lived in, so if you could leave that information in a comment, I can update the little bio that I wrote as an introduction.

I normally do a two-day feature, so you can look forward to a few more LOLs tomorrow, too!

I usually suggest that the featured blog, post a link to my site, as I have done with theirs — at least for the duration of the feature. This helps to increase viewership of your LOLs.

I hope you enjoy them. Please let me know. Thanks.
