Okay, this really isn’t the first Hello Dolly, because I did post the breaking news that we had a new sister. This is the first Hello Dolly where she came out of her private bedroom to explore her new home. Yep, Sister Dolly is venturing out.

Sister Dolly ventures out
Little Sister Dolly has had quite an unpleasant journey in life as she worked her way to us. She is a teeny little thing that has been declawed and was dumped out in the pouring rain in an awful neighborhood. Fortunately a very kind human by the name of Jenna mounted a posse in search of her and ultimately they were successful. But after a week on her own, Sister Dolly was very sick and her soft fur was a mess.
So how did we find Sister Dolly. It was fate, pure fate. I happened to be on Twitter tweeting with some friends. If you’ve never been on Twitter, literally hundreds of messages can zip by very quickly. I just happen to see one from a good rescue friend in GA named @Kat5Rescue. She was passing on an urgent plea for help from a rescue group in CT @KitschKat ran by an absolutely wonderful human named Robin. They were trying to help a poor Dilute Calico in South Carolina. I asked them “where in South Carolina?”, because that’s where I live. Turns out they were trying to help this poor little thing in the same place I live. It had to be fate! What are the odds of me being at the computer at the right moment to see the right message at the right time.
My Dad started talking with the local rescue lady named Jenna. Now Jenna is a very nice dog rescue human who also helps poor kitties whenever she can. She sure did a wonderful job helping out poor Dolly and who knows what would have happened to her if Jenna hadn’t taken an interest in her well being. So from all of us, THANKS JENNA!!! And a special thanks to Robin in CT and @Kat5Rescue in GA for all you do.

I'm glad that Dolly's story has such a happy ending…she's a lucky ladycat!
Wow — it was fate! And Karma, too, I think because what you put out there came back to you, i.e., "adopt cats, they deserve it!". I just love the name you chose for her, as well. Of course, you'll have to put up with all the "Hello Dolly" jokes from now till kingdom come, but it's a very sweet name nonetheless, for such a precious little one. Kudos to you and all the rescue folks!
It was meant to be. Dolly was to find you and you all were to find her. Now her life in her new forever home will be such a difference from the terrible things that have happened to her. Welcome Dolly, I am looking forward to getting to know you.
