#purrs4peace Hello everyone, we’re participating in Purrs 4 Peace Week 23. This weeks Purrs4Peace has us purring for an end to gun violence.
Sister Gracie is leading us
“We shall find peace. We shall hear angels. We shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.” – Anton Chekov
Confucius Cat remembers that there were 13 dead and at least 30 were injured in the gun massacre carried out at Fort Hood, Texas on November 5, 2009. The real toll is much higher. How many total lives were changed forever is difficult to calculate. Certainly, each of those killed had family and friends left devastated by their loss. Every year thousands more are effected by gun violence in the U.S.
This week we purr for an to this senseless destructiveness.
Confucius Cat says there is no real PEACE in a world were animals are treated with cruelty.
Why should man expect his prayer for mercy to be heard by What is above him when he shows no mercy to what is under him? ~Pierre Troubetzkoy
