Being the Mancat of the house I have lots of duties and things that just must be done on a daily basis. Tis the season ya know, yep, tis the season for pests. One of my main duties this time of year is to keep a watch out for ants. Really, ants, not aunts! They like to try to work their way into the house, so my job is to keep an eye out for them and to alert the human staff immediately if I see any introoders. I am very good at this task too and have already spotted a few little trouble makers which were taken care of immediately. I must admit that I really kind of like this task since it is so much fun to do my routine patrols of the house to make sure all is as it should be. One of these days I will have to teach my sisters how to do this, after all they shouldn’t miss out on the fun.
Do you have any special duties at your house?
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
SHRIEK!! Ants – rather you than me Brian.
My special duty is to stop Mum talking too long on the phone.
I miaow at the top of my voice til she puts the phone down.
I'm just doing my bit for the economy MOL
Oh Brian!
You are a very good and brave and wonderful Ant Patrol Introoder Alert Mancat!! We are very impressed and are in awe of your ant spotting prowess!
Your sweet sisters will be learning from the master!
I asked Charlie if he had any special duties here and he said: "zzzzzzz purrrr zzzzzzzzzz".
🙂
Take care

I love the photo of you on duty. Adds much credibility to your very important job. My main duty is to guide my staff by using mind control. I stare, she responds, I eat. Works very well, tee hee
Mommy says we are suppose to keep the mocking bird out of the strawberries, so far we are failing miserably. ~AFSS
PS: Brian, I had a wonderful time rolling around in the Butterfly Garden with you. Let's do it again soon. ~Scylla
It is good to patrol the perimiter and make sure all is OK. I live in an apartment but I do keep a keen eye out for the minors in the tree outside to make sure they behave. Winston x
You are so brave to watch out for pests like ants! We got some last year. They were lots of fun to chase around and whap!
You look like you're doing a good job there, Brian! We keep a look out for pesky bugs like ants too…spiders and centipedes!!
GAAAK! I do not like ants Brian! You are a good kitty to keep a watch out for them. Banjo is not so good with ants but he is a very good fly catcher ~ a very important special duty indeed!
Have a lovely Monday Brian!
Good job Brian keeping those ants under control. Our job is just plain to keep the house nice and dirty. We love tracking everything in from outdoors. Our other job is to keep Mom busy feeding us, letting us in and out etc. Hope all of you have a great week.
Well done keeping an eye out for those pesky ants. We have found a job where we walk all over the table and tell Mum off if she doesn't see the paw prints. Got to keep her on her toes!!
Brian, that's great you are doing on ant patrol. We have a lot of ants in our back space, sometimes we get them inside too. We like to watch them avidly, but we don't do much else with them. We need you to come and show us how ant patrol is done properly!
yes, tis the season for ants…we cats must be very vigilant because ants are sneaky critters! you're doing a good job Brian.
anties are great to chase. most things with legs are. looks like you do a good job with that! my special duty is to get the spiders for my mommeh. she HATES those spiders. i do not mind this job at all because i like to play with them and bat them around before i make them deaded. and when i make them deaded, i make sure they are good and really deaded, otherwise my mommeh still screams when she sees them.
Ant are pesky!! I bet your humans appreciate your patrols! What a wonderful King Cat you are!
Yukon has taken on the task of covering unfortunate accidents. He tries so hard to cover with nothing but air. At least it alerts us to help him out!

We don't get a lot of ants
We do get flys
So, we bat at them
Mom comes running
Yells at us not to eat them
She's no fun
(we live in the woods and flys like the woods .. that's what Mom says)

What an industrious mancat! Our duties here are to keep the ladybug population down!
Very important task you have there Brian and I have no doubt you do it well!
We do not have many ants. If we did I would watch for them. I love to hunt bugs! Especially on the ceiling!!!
Gemini
You are doing a GRRR-8 job! And this is also Cricket's job (we made it her job, since she bulldozered her way into our house). She doesn't mind though. She has spotted a few and dad is picking up ant trappy things today. Mom doesn't like this time of year (for the bug part only).
You are a great mancat Brian.
I has dutees simular to yours. Every night after our 10pm second dinners, I goes down to the first floor and watchs the racoons and foxes to make sure they not get in the house. When the gets too close I growls at them so they knows to stay away.
I must do a good job cause none has ever gotten in the house!

Have fun Brian with teach your sisters 😉
((hugs)) Kareltje =^.^=
Our main jobs are insect control and shedding, and we excel at both!

That is a great job and duty you have. I am official bug catcher at my house cuz my mom is scared of bugs.

You are a good boy, Brian. I don't like ants. They smell funny and they certainly don't taste good!
We all share bug patrol at my house. I really like a good moth every now and then.
Great job, Brian! I think the girls would rather have you do it.
You are very good at your job, Brian! What do you do with the ants when you find them? Are they tasty? Or have you never tried one, or two. Something tells me it would be hard to stop just at one.
Ante up!
You are on the job Brian. I agree with you though, you might want a break and I think you need to train your sisters
bonkbonk
We can see you are a good ant hunter. Our job is to keep the pheasants out of the garden and the spiders out of the house.
You're doing a great job Brian; the only jobs we have are to play and nap and eat our treats and give Mommy kisses and cuddles…Life is good!…xo…Calle, Halle, Sukki
We kitties are on lizard watch! Now that Spring is here they are all over the place. The woofies chased a snake in our yard today…that skeered Mom.
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
Brian the Mom can count on you to keep an eye and ear out for any bad introoders!

Silly mum had to change my tummy picture. She put one of my back first time.

You are such a hard working cat, Brian. SS wishes I would do the same, but I just snooze and look cute. I reckon that's more than enough work for a kitty.
You are useful as well as handsome.
Kat
I hope you are well-paid for this important job Brian; you certainly look very manly and official!
Oh yes, we had a week of ant attacks. They were everywhere. The Big Thing stepped on them like all day and evening so they couldn't go home and tell their friends where the good foods were.
We ate some too. They are, um, "spicy". We don't think we want ta eat more of them….
The man cat is always the sentry post guard.
It sounds like you are very good at your job! I wonder if Rudy found ants by our fridge…he's been watching something, but we don't know what yet. It could be ants.
You gotta keep an eye open when you have such bootiful sisters, don't you my friend!
I LOVE this photo! We man cats do have our duties….and mine is be handsome! 🙂

I watch spiders! Mom saw me staring at something last night. She went to investigate and there was a big spider! She said thank goodness I didn't try to eat the spider else I'd have gotten stung. I wonder if I've gotten bite by a spider before.
