Happy Mother’s Day

We entered the Mother’s Day Contest hosted by my girlfriend Scylla over at Alasandra, the Cats and a Dog. Here’s what I had to say:

I love my Mom because, well, she was my Mom before she was my Mom. I know, I really must explain myself so here goes. You see, I was born at a Christmas Tree Farm as was rescued when I was wee teeny by some very nice ladies. I was cared for by a wonderful group called the Kitten Action Team (KAT) and they operate out of our local PetSmart store. I was there for a very long time, nobody wanted me, nobody. But this nice lady came in every week and always stopped to talk to me. I kept asking her to take me home but she said that someone else would have to come see me first. That other someone never came. But she was back all the time, just to see me. Then I was adopted. Good news. No, not really. The were very mean and nasty to me and the KAT ladies found out and came and rescued me again.

So what about my Mom? Oh yea, I kind of got lost in the background didn’t I? Sorry. Anyways, I was back at PetSmart and here came that lady again and she seemed so very happy to see me. She told me she had been looking for me but thought I had been adopted. I asked her again to take me home and she said someone else would have to come see me. Guess what, she went and got that someone and came right back. That someone was my Dad (my secretary).

I was at PetSmart from kitten to eight months. This lady, my Mom, wanted me and loved me way before I got to go home with her. She never ever gave up on me. Somehow I just knew she was going to be my Mom and now the love is always there. Thanks Mom, thanks for being you, and thanks for being there for me when I needed you the most. I love you too!!!
