I thought I would use some Thursday posts to show you around our town. Our downtown area is really beautiful. Although I don’t get out very often, downtown Greenville really has some pretty spots. The highlight, in my opinion, of downtown Greenville is Falls Park. You should be able to click on the picture to make them bigger.
As you can tell, Greenville, SC has quite a history. But on to the falls.
The river actually gets its name from the reeds that used to grow there and the river was the source of power for industry that was located along the river.
As you can see in the next picture, there is a paw bridge that crosses over the river and has beautiful views of the falls. It is quite the attraction too and a terrific spot to get pictures of the falls.
Falls park is very pretty and is a great place to come for a picnic or to just stroll around and enjoy the sights. It is not unusual for some form of entertainment to be going on too.
Of course, since I was in the neighborhood, I just had to check in with a couple of friends of mine.
I will show you around my Tabby Town of Greenville, SC next week, there is so much to see. I hope you enjoyed the tour of Falls Park.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
