Today we’re going to continue our stroll through our Historic West End in Greenville, SC.
Last week we were at the ballpark. Just across from the ballpark is the Shoeless Joe Jackson Museum .
I still don’t know why he didn’t have any shoes or why nobody ever bought him any. You should click on the link above and then go read about Joe. Sounds to me like he didn’t get a fair shake at all.
Further on downtown there is a very nice statue of Joe too, but it sure looks to me like he has shoes on.
The Historic West End has several theatres too. They have the Warehouse Theatre and the South Carolina Children’s Theatre .
The Historic West End is also home to the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities and really is cool with the theatres and art studios there too.
There is also a back way in to Fall’s Park, but since we already did that tour I’ll just catch a break on the bridge.
There are some other places that are great for relaxing and if the sun gets too hot you can always pop under some shade trees or one of the big umbrellas for a while.
But one of my favorite places is the West End Market an, not only to they have lots of cool stuff there, I absolutely love the lookout tower!!!
That concludes the tour of the Historic West End in Greenville, SC. I hope you enjoyed it…I enjoyed showing you around. Maybe we’ll do it again sometime.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

It sure looks like a great place to relax especially under those trees.
Thanks for showing me the great places! Brian, you are tagged on my blog!
Come visit and take the award alright? =)

Adorable Brian!! thank you so much for such a wonderful and ever so enlightening tour of your Historic West End in Greenville!! Me and Charlie feel as if we've visited cos you did such a grand job of showing us around. We now understand why Joe Jackson was shoeless!! We hope that the new evidence will clear his name of any wrong doing – he's a wonderful sportsman who made something of himself using his natural talents! What a guy! We like your favourite spot on the lookout tower of the west end market! LOL!! And how there are so… Read more »

Brian, we enjoyed your tour and we had a lot of fun looking for you in each picture! We were especially tickled where you were in the Peter Pan one. Fun!
A very nice tour, Brian and it looks like a really nice place in Historic West End South Carolina there. Several of the adopted cats here would like to come down there and check it out in person, maybe you'll be their guide if they ever get there! They are especially interested in the leafy green areas that like like good places for plenty of cat naps!

And Brian, I'd accidentally posted after entering the title!! Thought I could finish the post before anyone popped over, but you were too fast for us! 🙂 What are the odds the title would be perfect for an empty post!
You make a great tour guide, Brian! I didn't even think you were allowed to go outside. Shows how much I know.
