Mancat Monday

We sure had a great weekend with lots of window whiffin time, it was great.  There was a regular visitor to my backyard that was really, really fun to watch.

I just couldn’t pull myself away from the window.  He was gathering and gathering up the pecans.  You may remember I mentioned him last Friday.  I thought I would share a picture of my pal that kept me so occupied…

Everyone, say hello to my pal Sam, he visits me a lot and is always the entertainer jumping from tree limb to tree limb.  I am still a bit curious as to why he seems like he is in such a hurry to gather up the pecans this year!

Also I would like to give a special shout out to my portugese pal from Bichinhos Amados for the delightful award.  Thanks my friend!!!

Selinho_10_-_Sandra_Santos And please don’t forget that my friend Hansel is having a Halloween Costume Contest and it’s not too late to enter.  Hey, even I entered this year and you should too!

As always, remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

  13. Congratulations on the award Brian!! We love your new friend Sam! Actually mom's grandfather loved squirrels so much that he would go outside with a bag of peanuts and call for them. Mom said they would have a dozen or more squirrels in the backyard with Papa feeding them out of his hand. He taught her how and she loves them very much. Tell Sam hi from us!! 29. Hey Brian,
Glad to hear you have such a perky visitor.
Pellie said – she be in a hurry to gather up pecans too if she knew where some was. She spent some time in New Bern N.C. when she was growing up so she says pecans are the best nut around. I think she is already dreaming of making pecan dressing for the Thanksgiving turkey.

    Purrs,
    Genghis

  30. Glad to hear you got a big whiff of that squirrel you named Sam! Pecans would be a delicacy up here — I just feed peanuts to our squirrels. They seem to like them anyway. When they're in the shell they get two for one! A twofur!

Congrats on your new award! You deserve it.
