Sadness Sunday

RIPRusty

Yesterday we lost one of our Elderstatesmancats.  Rusty was born around March 10, 1991 and lived a long and happy life with his family.  Rusty had been with his family since he was about 2 months old.  Our heart goes out to Rusty’s family during this most difficult time.  Rusty was truly an inspiration to all of us and we know his journey to the Bridge was a peaceful one.  That does not ease the pain and heartbreak his family is experiencing. If you have not already, please click on Rusty’s picture and go leave a note for his family.

It’s funny that we can feel so very close to someone we’ve never met.  I always looked forward to seeing the posts about Rusty.  Even though I never met him there is a hole in my heart as well.  I will miss you my friend and will remember you always.  Until we meet again.  Purrs.

I'm so sorry for the family's loss, and for you, too. We needn't be physically nearby to become familiar, even close. (((hugs)))

  2. The Island Cats

We are so sad that our cousin Rusty went to the Bridge. We know he is playing with his brother Grady once again, but we will miss him.

I am so sorry to hear about your good friend, Rusty. My thoughts and purrrs go to his family and friends. It does make the heart heavy with sadness when we hear that a furrie has gone to the bridge.

Me and Mommy did go see Rusty's family. My mommy (and all of the other beans) knows how terribly sad it is when their babies leave for the Bridge. Rusty had all those years of love though and he had all those times of giving his love to his beans.

Me and mommy send love and soft hugs to Rusty's family.

Our Mom was saying the other day, how funny it is when someone on the internet has to go to bridge, how sad we all get. Mom cried her eyes out over Rusty. Take care and have a great Sunday.

I saw Rusty's human's post yesterday and sent her lots of purrs. One of the magical things about the internet is that we get to meet kitties we wouldn't know otherwise, but it's also one of the saddest things because we also miss them terribly when they are gone.

We are always sad when anyone has to say goodbye to their loved pets. We didn't know Rusty but for those of us who love all furry animals don't have to have known or met the lost one, we still feel the sadness.

  25. Laila and Minchie

We are very, very sad too. It just amazes us how close we can get to all of our CB friends without ever having met them. We are very glad you are our friends too!

  26. Wyatt's Corner

  29. I Wonder Wye

RIP Rusty — your family is in my thoughts…a good friend had to put two of her cats down this weekend!! It is just so unfair our little ones do not live as long as people…

  30. Jonna

W also feel a connection with Rusty even if we just met him now online. We've been backreading his blog. He seems like a very nice fellow. We feel sad, too.

Yes…we are hoping, too, that Rusty is flying free now, with a silky shiny coat and lots of energy to once again chase flutterbys around…
