Tabby Tuesday

Today for Tabby Tuesday I present to you Sister Zoe!  Several of you asked how she was getting along since her itchy issues.  Actually, she is doing quite well.  I think part of her problem is that she may have an allergy to wheat.  Most of our food had some type of wheat in it and we used a wheat based litter.  We’ve changed our food (slowly of course) and our litter and Sister Zoe seems lots less itchy, which is a wonderful thing.  And her face floof is growing back too.  All in all she seems much healthier and is definitely much happier!

Hey, we recently switched to The World’s Best Cat Litter and if you would like to try a bag for free (after mail-in rebate) you can by going and getting the World’s Best Cat Litter Rebate Form .

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Banjo and I are very happy that Sister Zoe is feeling much better and much less itchy. It's so hard when our four legged friends can't tell us what is wrong with them.

Happy Tuesday to all you kitties!

I am SO glad Zoe's itchies are better. I wish I knew why I have such bad bad itchies these past several years. I asked the v-e-t, or mommy did, if it was an allergic reaction to my hyperthyroid meds. he said no, but I still wonder. I scratch around my tender ears and now I am pulling out my furs. I will stop that once I have my allergy shot. But I wish it would all go away.

  9. Teri and the cats of Furrydance

Happy to hear you are doing better with the itchies! Our Teri works at an all cat vet and yes, wheat (or corn based litters are included in this too)or grain allergic cats can truly be affected by the wheat and corn based litters as they groom the dust off their furs and paws.

Zoe, we're so glad you're feeling better! Yep, it's good to stay away from wheat (and corn and soy too)! Hurrah for new food and litter!

  17. Ayla and Iza,

We are totally off wheat/corn foods. Try Soulistic Chicken and Gravy Dinner Or Evo Chicken and Turkey or Evo Duck. Some Max Cat has a little oat bran, but we like it too.

I'm glad Zoe is feeling better. I had no idea cats could be allergic to wheat or that it was in cat litter…

  20. Boo-Bah

we are glad to hear that Zoe is feeling better itching can drive you crazy.
I've been using World's Best CatLitter for about 2 and 1/2 years now. It's expensive but oh so worth it. I like it because it keeps the litter box so nice and dry.

  21. House of the Discarded

My cats let me know EXACTLY what they thought of World's Best Cat Litter by pooping next to the litterbox. Of course, we promptly went back to the cheap clumping litter and everybody was happy 🙂

  26. Cathy Keisha

I've been having a lot of itchies since I switched foods after my illness. I wonder if I'm allergic to something.

  27. Siku Marie, White Dog

Glad Zoe is feeling better. Wheat allergies are not uncommon…very clever to narrow the problem down to that!
