T.G.I.F. – The Girl

      47 Comments on T.G.I.F. – The Girl

It has been one cold week in the south, and it doesn’t sound like the weekend is going to be any better. But hey, at least the weekend is coming.  Today T.G.I.F. means The Girl Is Festive!

Sister Dolly really loves Christmas, as we all do.  She really doesn’t mess with the decorations too much, but she loves to take these little fake poinsettias down from the garland and whap them around the house a bit.  Hey, they’re all up and down the stairs so nobody should miss one or two here and there!  Hard to believe that in two weeks Christmas eve will be here.

So do you have anything special going on this weekend?  We’re going to the #PawPawty on twitter and help raise some more green papers for the Santa Paws Drive.  My friend @FrugalDougal does such a great job help critters in need!

I’m still doing lots of purring for Moosie, but it doesn’t look like a Christmas miracle will be there for her this year.  I’ll keep trying though, she really is most worthy.

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

We are still purring for Moosie too and we hope someone will give her a new forever home soon!

Mommy's friend in Georgia told her it's been unseasonably cold in the south. We're glad you're staying inside and warm!

  2. Kat_RN

No home is truly festive without a few cat hairs as decoration. She looks lovely as always.
That reminds me, I still haven't got the decorations up on the banisters.

  3. Kea

That's a very festive photo of Dolly! No harm in playing with those poinsettias. 🙂

We're still purring hard for Moosie and keeping our paws crossed for her.

  4. Marg

Sister Dolly, that sure is a pretty picture of you. We are sure hoping for Moosie to find a home. We say extra prayers this week end for her and cross our paws too. I will put it on Facebook again.
Stay warm this week end. It is supposed to be a tiny bit warmer tomorrow.

  5. Old Kitty

Sweet sister Dolly!!! Me and Charlie hope you have a great time whapping those flowers around your home! Such fun!! yay!!!

We are also saying a big hello to handsome Brian and gorgeous Zoe, Sascha and Gracie!!!

Oh adorable Moosie!!! If we could we'd have you!! Hugs and purrs for Moosie!! Take care

  6. Random Felines

We will keep our paws crossed for Moosie.

Can't blame Dolly for chasing those flowers…they look awfully tempting!

Its not Christmas yet, Moosie may still get her miracle, we are purraying here! (Blanco was a rehome for Christmas Kitty)
The best decorations are happy pets 🙂

  8. The Island Cats

We're gonna help mom decorate the tree today! She's finally gonna put the toys…er, we mean ornaments on it!!

We sure hope Moosie can find that home. There's gotta be someone out there!!

  9. chezcat1970

Dolly really IS a dolly! We can't believe that Moosie doesn't have a home yet! We're sending lots of purrs to her!

  10. Whisppy

Christmas is still 2 weeks away! There is still time for Moosie to make someone very happy on Christmas……will continue to pray hard for this to happen.
Sister Dolly sure knows how to arrange the poinsettias which really made the shot extra beautiful!

  11. Hannah and Lucy

We'll turn our purr motor volume up for Moosie to get her furever home.
The poinsettias show your luxurious coat off beautifully Dolly.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

  12. Sammy and Andy

What a gorgeous pic of Dolly….our mama loves poinsettias so she can understand Dolly's liking them.

  13. ♥I am Holly♥

What a beautiful picture of Dolly! We hope Moosie gets her furever home soon. Our shelter here has a 7 year old yellow lab that has respiratory troubles and we would grab him quickly but it says no cats, no dogs which leaves us out. We are hoping he gets a good furever home. Lots of love, Holly and mom

I bet I could help you get more of those poinsettias down for you, Dolly. I'm really good at stuff like that!!

And, I just told my kitties to do their best purring for Moosie.

Nows, I just LOOOOOOOVES dat foto of Dolly…it is purrrrfect…omd, did I just say "purfect"? What am I turnin' into?

  16. Tracy

Oh, so sweet! golly I could just take her home! I'm getting close to convincing my husband, or ummm, Santa that I need a kitten for Christmas 🙂

  17. meowmeowmans

Those fake poinsettias look fun to us too, Dolly! 🙂

Brian, I just sent out a Moosie post on Facebook, with a link to your blog post about her. And rest assured that we'll keep purring and praying for a Christmas miracle for her!

  18. OKcats

Miss Dolly, you look so very sweet sitting up there by your holiday decorations! We don't blame you for whapping them – who could resist? It's pretty cold here, too, but no snows. We think we're the only place in the continental U.S. that hasn't had any snow this year!

  19. Cat with a Garden

It's very hard not to mess with the decorations, so we know Santa has you on his "good cats list". Thank you for visiting us today!
Many purrs and a wonderful weekend for you.

Does Dolly need any help? Those flowers look mighty fun to play with.
We still are purring for Moosie. Mommy wishes she could live with us, but #14 (Henry) is already waiting in the wings. He let Mommy go up to him last night…no touching…yet.

  21. Junior and Orion

We are so worried for Moosie. We would take her but we don't think she would do well with us two slightly rowdy boys. We don't even have a spare room that she could escape to if she needed. It's amazing that the other two kitties who went up on the CB after Moosie found homes, but not Moosie. We continue to purr for her and you know that we have her permanently posted on our blog.

  22. Ayla and Iza,

It has been so cold here that I am stayin inside. I might go out tomorrow (it is sposed ta be a little warmer).

    Sister Dolly looks bootiful!

  23. CCL Wendy

Dolly's beauty is nicely garnished by that garland! She seems like a real gentle ladycat who doesn't want to make any trouble.

    What a sweetie!

  24. Sweet Praline

What a beautiful photo of Dolly. I'm still keeping my paws crossed that Moosie finds a new forever home soon.

It's just too cold here in the South, isn't it?

  25. caspersmom

Mom sure wishes I wouldn't play with the Christmas decorations, but Dolly I don't see how anyone can miss one or two poinsettas either. We's still purring and praying for Moosie too. So glad that more donations are coming in for Santa Paws. We don't even have a no kill place in our county. Have a great week end.

  26. Sharon K. Mayhew

Dolly looks lovely sitting with the poinsettas. I'm glad they aren't real because they are poisonous!!!

I'll say a prayer for Moosie, too.

  27. MoMo

Dolly looks so pretty posing with the poinsettas. We don't have any decorations on ground level because I destroy them.

I am purring for someone special to give Moosie a forever home. It's been so long and we hope Christmas will be a homing time for her.

  28. Cara n Crew

Moosie is breaking our hearts. We are purring hard her Christmas wish of a furrever home will come true.

Dolly, those flowers look very wappable indeed, we don't blame you for playing with them.

    Stay warm!

  29. Siku Marie, White Dog

There are still 15 days until Christmas! We are not giving up on a Christmas miracle for Moosie, yet! Sending strong positive energy that the perfect forever family is on its way to her right now! We DO believe in miracles!
