I’m playing in the Wordy Wednesday Challenge 2011 which was organized by our friends Sammy, Andy & Shelly and the always wonderful at Zoolatry.
My word, as you can see, is fraternal. I would like to tell you why I selected this word and how I think it applies to me. Fraternal, in its basic core, means brotherly or friendly. I’m really not one to toot my own horn but I really do think both of those words describe me.
I just love everyone, so I guess you could say I’m friendly. As you know, I have four sisters, and as each arrived in our home I welcomed them straight away. No hissing or fussing at all. Each new arrival was just fine with me. I didn’t mind at all showing them the ropes and helping them adjust to their new routine. When I first came here I had a brother, Ivan. Ivan welcomed me immediately and taught me the importance of being friendly and brotherly. Ivan is at the Rainbow Bridge and even though I miss him every single day, my hope is that he is proud I am carrying on with what he taught me.
That’s why I picked the word fraternal. I hope I always live up to the meaning and expectation of this word, to me it is so important. Thanks to all of you for being my friend.
