It’s hard to believe that Monday has rolled around again…already! I have a couple of things I’d like to update you on today.
First, I’d like to say thank you so much for all of you that voted form sweet woofie Bailey in the Easter Photo Contest. Bailey and his Mom were very excited to receive an email that said…
Congratulations you are the 1st place WINNER!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so my friends for taking the time to go vote for Bailey, he and his Mom are thrilled. But let’s be honest here, I knew Bailey was a winner the first time I saw him!!!
Here’s the wonderful note I got from Bailey’s Mom to all of you that voted for Bailey…
“Bailey and I would like to take a moment to tell each and every one of you how special you are to us for taking the time to not only vote and confirm your vote, but how each one of you wrote such sweet remarks about Bailey on top if it!
I was so overwhelmed by your kindness that I got teary eyed reading each one. I sat Bailey on my lap and read each one to him. Of course, hearing his name on every one, he listened intently!
He had about a three point lead before you all stepped in with your support, so please know you didn’t "steal" the contest votes for him, you just sealed the deal in a loving and supportive way!
And, finally, none of this would have been possible without the angel of a guy, Brian!
Each of you will always hold a special place in mine and Bailey’s heart!
Gin and Bailey”
Now, for my second update, how about some news from Selina (formerly Faith). I actually received this update on April 16th, but since I hadn’t shared it with you yet, now seemed like a good time.
Selina’s posted this on Facebook and sent it to us via email:
“Today is my one-week anniversary in my new furever home!!! I can’t believe it’s been a week already.
I went to the vet today for my "well kitty" and I’m 100% HEALTHY! The doc said he can’t find any evidence of an eyeball or a third eyelid, so he thinks I was born without my right eye. Why doesn’t anyone ask me these things? I could tell them – I don’t know what all the big mystery is about. Anyway, they aren’t going to have it sewn shut, as MomKatt & he think I’m fine just the way I am, unless something weird starts happening like drainage or something. He also said my "poofiness" under my tummy was from my being pregnant a month ago when I was spayed, and that should go away in the next couple of weeks. He also thinks about one year old, judging from my teeth (which he says are "pearly white"!) (I don’t need braces! MOL!)
While I was there, I explored the ENTIRE exam room, got into the trash can under the exam area, got under the cabinet under the exam area and slinked all around the perimeter of the room, sniffing and checking EVERYTHING out!
I also weigh 7.5 lbs and he thinks I’m the cutest thing on 4 legs. Well, he didn’t need a medical degree to see THAT, now did he? Anyway, he was a very nice man, I rode like a good girl there & back and now we’re home & MomKatt is going to play with me ALL DAY LONG!
Life is GOOD! I’m sending pics to my foster dad, because he hasn’t seen them yet and I told MomKatt to include them in this Email. I am now racked back in my sheepskin bed, my eyes glued to her typing fingers to make sure she sends this message properly!!!
You are a wonderful little girl Selina!
Last, but certainly not least, is an update on Precious.
Precious is in a foster home and is so happy not to be in that little cage. However, the occupant of the private bedroom where she is staying will be home soon, so we still need to find a real forever home for sweet Precious. Sooner than later.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
