Tabby Tuesday: Help Win $15,000 for Your Shelter in “America’s Favorite Animal Shelter” Contest

BrianHey, silly question.  Could your favorite shelter use an extra $15,000?  See, I told you that was a silly question, of course they could.  Here’s a way for you to help make that happen.

Help your shelter win $15,000Vote for your favorite shelter in “America’s Favorite Animal Shelter” contest–sponsored by Care2ASPCA and Adopt-a-Pet–and you can help it win $15,000!

Just imagine what your shelter could do with $15,000, everything from a much needed renovation, to purchasing essential cat and dog supplies, to assisting more rescues, the list goes on and on!

Winners of the Contest
The winner of the contest will be determined by the shelter with the most votes. In addition to the grand prize, Care2 is awarding $7,000 and $3,000 to the runner-ups.

All Shelters Have the Opportunity to Win
To ensure all shelters have a chance to win, Care2 will also award $500 to a randomly picked shelter for each of the 8 weeks of the contest.

How to Enter
It’s easy and free to enter the contest. You can go to Care2 and find your favorite shelter. In order to be eligible to participate, all shelters and groups need to be registered with, a non-profit pet adoption site. The contest ends July 10, 2011.

My local rescue has been urging its volunteers (including my human) to vote for them! And my human feels guilty because she is voting for Joplin Humane instead. Well, they really need it right now!
