Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!
By golly we did make it to the weekend, and a long 4th of July Holiday weekend it is too. Let me tell you, we’ve sure had a busy week.  In honor Friday finally getting here Sister Zoe is right here to help usher in the weekend.  Today T.G.I.F. means Tail Girl Is Fancy!

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!Just take a look at that tail on Sister Zoe! Is that fancy or what?  I know I’ve told you this before, but Sister Zoe is my smallest sister.  But what she lacks in size she makes up in floof and she has it going fur sure.  You might remember that Sister Zoe lost most of her floof a while back, but as you can see, it’s back now.  We finally figured out that she is allergic to most grains commonly found in cat food so we’ve made the kibble switch to grain-free and will probably be making a stinky goodness switch before too long.  Sister Zoe told me that she sure is glad to not be itching and pulling out her fur all the time.

So, what’s up with you this weekend?  Those of us in the U.S. will be celebrating the 4th of July, which means there might be lots of boomy noises going on.  We’re probably going to cook out some food, well, Dad is, and then relax and take it easy…if the fireworks are not too darn noisy.  Whatever you do, have a safe and happy weekend!

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

  3. The Kewl~Kitty~Krew

Sister Zoe sure is a looker~!!! We’re just hangin’ out this weekend. Our woofie brofur, Lucky, is PETRIFIED of fireworks, so the ‘beans will be home all weekend. That’s just fine by us, cuz that means lotsa BBQing~!!!

  4. CatonsvilleCats

I bet Dolly has a beautiful tail too? Maybe she can be a tail feature one week.

I have one cat who I think is allergic to chicken. Weird. It makes the grain-free quest difficult as all the grain free foods are chicken until you get up into the boutique foods. She is eating Purina One Sensitive Systems which is turkey instead of chicken but isn’t grain free. The Wellness turkey canned food has chicken as the second ingredient! but it’s better than first ingredient…

oh, Zoe, that IS a fancy tail! I am so glad your beautiful furs are coming back.

We are grain free at our house now. It took a lot of trial and error for mama to find a brand of stinky goodness that we liked but we ended up wif a couple that we like — Wellness, Wellness core, and Blue Wilderness. BFF for special occasions.

  8. Katnip Lounge

Tail? That’s not a tail, it’s a GIANT fur pine tree!
Have an easy weekend…remember behind the toilet is the safest spot in the house–just ask Grayce.

  9. Layla Morgan Wilde

Did she steal it from a raccoon? We’re getting an early start to the weekend since our expat mom is celebrating Canada Day today and we’re sharing TGIF pics, feline style!

  10. Fuzzy Tales

Sister Zoe, you look fabulous. We’re glad all your floof came back and that the grain-free diet is working for you. That’s also a *very* cool scratcher/napping spot!

Sister Zoe grainfree is much better for us cats and that is great that it stopped you from the bad itching. Your floof is looking very floofilous and lovely.

  13. Abby

Sister Zoe that tail of yours is something to be very proud of and we are so glad that you found out it was a food allergy so you were not itchy anymore.

Sister Zoe looks absolutely beautiful!! Cody said to tell her he eats grain-free on both his kibble and his stinky goodness and he LOVES IT! He gobbles it up like he does with everything else!
Not sure what we are doing on the 4th yet….might just be home which is fine with me! Enjoy cooking out, be safe and have a wonderful weekend!

  15. Penelope

    Dear Brian,
Zoe’s floof is spectacular! Me wishes (particularly in the wonter) that me had some floof!
    Happy July 4th!
    Kisses
    Nellie

WOW Sister Zoe – you have a gorgeous tail. I’d give anything for a floofy tail like you have instead of the snakey one I have. I’ll have to try one of those on for size some time in photo shop to see how I’d look.

  17. Mumsy, Chancy and Crew

Zoe you have a beautiful fluffy tail…you are just beautiful all over. We are staying home to make sure none of the neighbors burn our house down with fireworks. Mumsy has to pick up lots of debris from them every year, they land in all over our yard and sometimes on top of our house. Mumsy don’t like that they do that. Have a fun and safe 4th. Hugs and nose kisses

  18. Pip

One can never be too floofy. I think I made that word up? Pre-haircut, I am very floofy, too!

    Your pal, Pip

  19. Prancer Pie

That is sum beyootiful floof ! So glad grain-free is working fur you. I hopes efurryone has a nommy cook-out and a safe holiday. Purrs.

  20. Katz (And Other) Tales

Sister Zoe’s tail is pawsome; good to see all that hair back again. We’re grain free too for our wet food (when we’re not gulping rost chikkun) but our crunchies have some grain.

  21. Fraidy Cats!

Zoe, you have gorgeous floof all over, tail included! We like your scratcher lounge 🙂 It’s heating up here so we are gonna lay low this weekend and be cool. hopefully we are done with the boomy noises after last month. Stay safe all!

    Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie

  22. Mark's Mews

We are avoidin most all grains even though we dont know we need to. But to avoid than have to recover. So we are always glad to see avoidance. Cats need MEAT!

  23. siku marie

Sister Zoe has a lovely floofy tail; glad that you figured out it was food allergies causing her hair loss. Everything looks beautiful again.

Have a safe and stress-free holiday weekend. Hope the noises are minimal and you have lots of time together with your loving family.

  24. Cathy

Thank goodness you were able to identify the reason for Sister Zoe’s fur loss and itchiness. Her floof is lovely. 🙂

(Thanks for listening to the interview. I was pretty nervous!)

  25. Stacy Hurt

That is not a tail… That is a giant duster if we’ve ever seen one. In fact, it looks like the scepter that Jack Sparrow waives around in Pirates! Awesome!
