Yep, you guessed it, I got stuffed in the PTU and hauled of to the Vet AGAIN! Boy did I complain about it the whole way too. Not to worry, I’m fine, I just had to get stuck for my annual vaccinations. That part was not nearly as bad as the car ride and the advice from the Vet. Once again the Vet mentioned that I’m a little over weight, by about 2 pounds. Big deal I say!
But since I’m not the only one here that could stand to lose a little we are all on a diet.
Sister Precious went to the Vet last week, and she checked out just fine. But the Vet said she is just a teeny little bit overweight, but just by a couple of ounces.
Sister Gracie had put on some weight due to the steroids in her asthma medications and although her asthma hasn’t been bad at all, she is just having a difficult time dropping that unwanted weight.
So, we’re all dieting. The good news is that we really seem to like our weight management food. The bad news is that is seems to bother Sister Zoe and her food allergies. So Dad has been having the challenge of trying to get 5 of us to eat one thing and Sister Zoe to eat the before-diet food. Hey, I told Dad I could do both if that would help!
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Join the club, Buddies ! Tell me how you go : )
xoxo
We think 2 pounds over “perfect” is just about right. The Bein actuarial tables say so!
Oh Precious, we are so glad you checked out all right. We scream in the carrier too. Our poor doggie roommate has to go to the vet today.
We know all about different cats getting different food. We all offer to eat each kind too. It is hard to lose that extra weight but we know all of you can do it.
Have a really fun day and stay cool.
Well at least I am not dieting alone. ~Scylla
Mommy has never had any success feeding one of us something different. We are always convinced whatever the other cat is getting is better.
It sounds like you are all very well cared for. 2ls ?? I say “no big deal” 🙂
Good luck with the diet! I think that was very nice of you to offer to eat both foods to help out….. You are a good sport!
Brian, I am amazed at how casually you were able to lie on the counter at the Vet’s!
Maybe it is just the angle of the picture, but Gracie does look a little chubby there!
Brave beautiful Brian!! Yay for your singing all the way to the vets! Awwwww!!! Me and Charlie hope you and adorable Precious and Gracie continue to enjoy your diet food! Hugs to gorgeous sisters Zoe and Dolly! We just know your dad will solve the eating arrangements soon! Yay! take care
x
Good luck with the diet. Hope it isn’t too hard on you guys.
Purrs,
Genghis
Oh, we know about diets here! Samson’s steroid treatments for his allergies have also made it difficult for him to lose the weight so we’re ALL on the diet. Good luck with the new feeding arrangements, I hope you can find something that works for all of you.
he he – buddy – you are all too willing to eat. Aren’t d.i.e.t.s. horrible. I don’t like it much either.
Oh my stars ~ 2 lbs and a few ounces over weight??? My goodness, you all look perfect to Banjo and I. It never hurts having a little more to love we always say. 😉
Good luck to Dad in getting everyone fed their own food. Ha!
xo Catherine
Hannah wishes you hadn’t posted this today – we have been told she must see the vet before she can have any more tablets (steroids)!! Mum thought she was getting a bit heavier due to eating my leftovers but she’s suddenly thought oops steroids – which she is on for her asthma!! Now I’ll get nagged at too for leaving food for her to eat for me!!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
I didn’t think that 2 pounds is much at all… but 2 ounces…. how do you measure 2 ounces… whew… that’s splitting hairs. Good luck with the diets pals….
pawhugs and commiseration, Max
Mom tried cutting back without changing food for us. Everyone lost weight but the chubby girl that was SUPPOSED to lose weight. Mom has surrendered….. MOL
We’re glad you’ve all checked out fine! Weight schmeight. We think the vet is ridiculous for even mentioning *ounces*. Sheesh.
The mom says good luck getting one food you all can eat. Even with just the two of us, we need different things (Nicki needs fibre, Derry doesn’t, one likes this, one likes that).
Good luck with the dieting guys!
We dont need to diet..but our Mum and Dad do!!
love Commie and Blanco
Time to drag out da ole treadmill!
I saw Sister Precious on her cam..in her bed!!!
You alllook extra delectable to mommy. She’d love to hold and kiss each of you.
We are on weight management, too, but all three have gained weight! Go figure!
Oh, I hear ya … so dislike diets … but you will feel so much better!
You all look nice and healthy to us! Better to be a few ounces over than underweight.
I hear ya, Bailey wimpers when he has to go to the Vet too, but they all love him and
give him his favorite peanut butter treats, so he forgets why he was scared.
Happy Tuesday to all furry and human friends.
Brian, you look like you are just being so casual at the vet!! The kitties here would be up on the ceiling!! Everyone here is a few pounds overweight and Holly is always on a diet! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
Glad that everything went well at the vet, but I’m sorry to hear about the diet!
Uh oh diets – I think you all look pretty good, but then I keep saying that about Milly and Poppet. They need to lose a few pounds, but I find it hard with two kitties eating out of the same bowls – they share each others, so who knows what each has eaten. Any tips on how you do it will be greatly appreciated. Glad everything else was fine :))
You are looking mighty relax at the vets, Brian. I think more encounters with Da Bird will help you lose those 2lbs easily. And a whole lot more fun too!
Well personally I think you look GREAT!
Good luck on your diets!!!!!!!!!!
Awww, it doesn’t sound like a few ounces is a lot. It must be really hard to keep everyone away from the before-diet food, though!
Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday! 🙂
Woofs & hugs,
~Bailey (Yep, I’m a girl!)
We sure hope that diet works for you and your sisters, Brian!
Oh boy, I feel bad for all you guys! I know how this drill goes. So do my Aunt Beatrice and Uncle Irvin. Thing is, they never lose the weight, so they’re on a perpetual diet!
You so handsome, Brian. Your sisters sooooo pretty. We think maybe that v-e-t’s scales are messed up. Ooooorrrrr, they gots dollar money invester in the diet foods.
Oh no not the dreaded diet, please let me know if you need me to smuggle a food parcel.. Hugs GJ xx
Since my human
starves us to deathis very careful about portions, our weights check out fine at the vet’s. In fact, I am underweight, and my human’s task is figuring out ways to get me to eat more!We feel your pain. I, Junior, like most foods…..a little too much.
I, Orion, like most foods too, but I don’t eat as much as my brofur. Plus Meowm still has not figured out if I have food allergies or if it is something else that causes me sometimes have really stinky poo and pull out my furs.
Diets——-a never ending battle.
Not a diet!! You all look perfect to me.
OMC! It’s Precious! Tell your peeps a little extra weight is good for cats. If you haven’t heard about the cat who was almost abducted by a hawk, but was saved because he was a fat cat and the the hawk couldn’t carry him, let me know and I’ll send you the link.
Good luck on your diets. Such a hard thing to do.
Brian, while we are happy your Vet visit was OK,
we sympathize that the Vet told you to lose weight!!!!!!
Can’t the Vet see how handsome you already are?????
Diet IS a four letter word ya know :/ heehee
Purrs Tillie and Georgia
I haf to diet too! Mama doesn’t know how she’s going to do it while getting Kit to gain weight. You look so relaxed at the vet!
Hi dear Brian!!
We are coming back!!!
Miss you and all bloggie friends!
Kisses
I’m on a diet too! Boohoohoo!
Laila
Brian
We think you all are perfect just the way you are.
But we hope that your Dad can find the best solution for all of you.

Oh, Brian we think eating both foods would be what we would volunteer to do too. We wish you all the best luck on the diet although we don’t think you are so much over weight. You all look very beautiful to us. Hugs and nose kisses
Whoo, good luck with the diet!
Ah yes Brian, I complain all the way to the Vet too. So glad you are O.K. but don’t know about dieting though. Cleo needs to, but I seem to be loosing weight without the diet. It’s always great to like the food you are eating diet or not. Mom got some new hairball stuff but don’t know if I like it yet or not.
Casper
Oh I guess that means no Num-Nums for awhile…Well, it’s good you like your new food and I’m sure it will do the trick!
Yay! This is the first time we saw Precious on the cam…cool!
Sister Gracie has such beautiful markings on her tummy!
the “D” word.. a nasty 4 letter word.. ewww. I am happy you guys at least think it tastes good. I hope Daddy can find something for sister so she not longer itches.
Brian, we’re glad all of you had good check ups. Sorry about the diet part. Yow! Take it slow!
Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
The vet AND a diet???? The cruelty of it! Hey, you can sneak over here and have a secret snack 🙂
my brother ChaCha also need to loose some weight
he is too heavy!!!
but sisfur Sachiko need some weight gain
🙂
Brian maybe we need to have a cat weight lost club since all of our V-E-T’s suggest diets. This way a little fun could be added to the program of losing weight.
Going on a diet is good for you, even if it’s hard. Glad you like the new food.
I’m back blogging again. I’ve set up a new blog for my future furchildren. Please come by and visit me at https://sweetpurrfections.blogspot.com
Mom Paula and Angel Praline
Well, I myself am very svelte, but the Human? A WHOLE other story. Maybe your vet could prescribe some food for HER, heh heh.
You are such a big-hearted big brother to volunteer to make Zoe feel comfortable at mealtime! Can’t you do kitty kalestenics or play more turbo-track batting instead of dieting…you know, exercise kinds of stuff…maybe 15 minutes of strenuous zoomies?
Glad to hear the vert visit went well for both you and Precious.
We want to be sure and thank you for leaving kind words upon Jack’s passing over the Rainbow Bridge. Our cat and cat-loving friends are helping us immensely in recovering from the loss. Baby has deeply grieved, but is doing much better with right attention and love.
I hate to go to the Vet, Brian
I am happy you are well

Happy news! She’s a real cutie.
I just asked my wife if she had ever run across your name while cross posting on FB. She said she hadn’t, but was amazed at how many mutual friends you two have. Also, tons of mutual friends with your friends.
