I’m just about ready to go under the bed and join my sisters but I wanted to say howdy first. You see, none of us are too fond of strange things going on in and around our house, not to mention some loud banging noises, and today is one of those days. I guess it was to be expected eventually. Right at the end of last winter our furnace went Over the Rainbow Bridge and it did so with quite a racket. So, today there are lots of strange and noisy humans here. It seems we’ve adopted a new furnace and they are getting ready to move it in. I guess there is a lot to be said for keeping warm this winter, but that doesn’t mean I have to like the noise. So, if you’ll excuse me, my sisters and I will be under the bed protecting the dust bunnies!
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Brian, love it.. only you can mention rainbow bridge, adoption and furnace in the same sentence!
R.I.P. furnace. We sure hope that the adoption goes well and all that noise goes away really soon for you kitties. We hate banging around too. You gonna need that furnace really soon. Take care. Want us to bring you some ear plugs??
Oh MAN! Do I EVER know what you mean Brian. And I am going to have to do that again for the same reason shortly~
xoxoxo
We hate it when there are noisy men banging about in our home too – fortunately
your dust bunnies have all of you to protect them. Take care and wear your hard hats.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Awww Brian, I hope they are quick anyway.
Have fun under the bed!
Our hot water heater went “over the rainbow bridge” recently, and we do the same thing when workmen come her…hide until its safe to come out…LOL
Have a good week Brian
Sounds like our house! Always a/c men here. We have dug a big hole in the box spring so we have the perfect place to hide!
We hope all of you are having a purr-fect Monday.
aww… sorry about all the banging, but so nice of you to give a new home to a furnace in need..
Oh all of you poor kitties. Brian, you are going to have to be the brave mancat and keep your sissers from going nutso with the noise and the strangers.
But just remember: after that suffering, you will have HEEEEEET wonderful HEEET
big bonks and treats unner the bed
We totally agree. There is alot to be said fur staying warm! The hoomans did this at our house last year. It took all day long! Thank Cod they did cuz it was like 115 degrees this summer! Here’s to staying warm this winter! xoxo
we are she that your home will be a “fur”nest” in the winter !!
big bisous de Nantes xxxx
Brian, say hello to the dust bonnies. I do the same too! I don’t like noise and strangers. Hopefully they will go soon!
Just think though Brian – with that new furnace you’ll go from ‘dust bunnies’ to ‘toasty buns’ 🙂 🙂
Brian
All that noise will be worth it when the weather starts turning cold and you need some heat!
Happy Monday!

I should stay there until its finished if I was you. Gorgeous picture .. Hugs J x
Sorry about the noise factor; but at least the furnace people are out now – before you will really, really need it.
Purrs,
Genghis
We think that’s a wise decision for all of you. Much nicer guarding the dust bunnies than listening to humans banging and making noise.
Congrats on the new furnace 🙂 Down here in Texas it will be awhile before we need to turn on the heat! Keep warm and happy monday!
We hope your new furnace settles into it’s forever home well. We hide behind the sofa when we hear strange noises.
Yikes! We hope the installation will be quick. Derry is always UTB when workmen come into the house, too, but of course Nicki is *right there* in the thick of things.
That’s the best place to go in your situation. Or, you and the girls could come to my house. No workmen running round here now – we’ve been through all that noisy stuff.
Awwwww beautiful and ever so adorable Brian!! Well me and Charlie think you and your sweet sisters Sascha, Gracie, Precious, Zoe and Dolly are doing a grand job protecting the dust bunnies!! Hooray!!! Hope the noisy humans go away soon and leave you all with a nice new furnace!! Take care
x
loud banging noises must make you have a great winter, Brain
My house, some loud banging noises made by me…Hee heh..I love to wake mom up by banging the door : )
xoxo
I know how you feel, Brian. I hate all the banging. I always go UTB!
I did not know there is rainbow bridge for furnaces! I hope your new furnace you adopted will settle in 🙂
We all hope the new furnace will enjoy its new home! RIP, old furnace!
We hope all the noise didn’t last too long and your new furnace is in!! You’ll appreciate the warmth…even though you don’t appreciate the noise now!!
That’s a long time without a furnace! We are glad you are adopting one and hope you all stay warm!
I guess today, your humans are saying, “Adopt furnaces, they deserve it!”
Well, Brian, going UTB is the ManCatly thing to do, you know. After all, you need to protect and defend all your sisfurs from those loud INTROODERS.
Noise…disruption…AND Monday? Wow! Hope the furnace adoption gets settled soon and peace prevails the rest of the week.
We would not like the noise either Brian, but we do LOVE the furnace in Winter!!
WE have forced air and we love to sit on the floor vents 🙂
Purrs Tillie and Georgia
Hope things have quieted down! I am not a big fan of loud noises, either.
Your pal, Pip
We don’t like loud banging noises or strange smelling men either. Last time something like that happened, we are all hiding under the beds when THEY TOOK THE BEDS A WAY! WHERE WE WERE HIDING! And brought new ones. Oh my cod! Sometimes you can not dream of the evil in this world!
We went through that noisy new furnace thing too but it was worth it. You’ll be toasty warm and the planet will love you for being more energy efficient.
We know what you mean! Our grandparents were remodeling their bathroom, and it was nothing but NOISE NOISE NOISE all day long, for a week! Humans and their chaos, right?
whoa..I did not know that furnaces could go to the rainbow bridge too…do they have their own special place or when they arrive are they back in working order to keep all of our bridge angels warm? I have so much to learn…
When we gots a new furnace, it is much better than our old one!
Me is sure when the noisy me leaves, you will like your new one too!
Kisses
Nellie
Oh no!! I know what that is like! And on a Monday?! Oh the agony! I feel for you, kitties!
Hope tomorrow is better! 🙂
Woofs & hugs, <3
~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
At least you will keep warm this winter. We are going to have a lot of people in and around for the next several weeks.. foundation and plumbing problems!
That’s a good idea to go protect the dust bunnies while the noisy humans are around. All of you can enjoy the new addition during winter. 🙂
I am very glad you are going to have reliable heat for the winter, Brian, but yes, stay away from those installer people!
Those poor dust bunnies–it’s so good of you to protect them (because that’s the real reason that you’re under the bed, right?)
I am thinking that new furnace will be appreciated this winter!! Hope the dust bunnies made it through alright! 😉
xo Catherine
You are very handsome. Thanks for supporting Purrs 4 Peace.
Tell the dust bunnies we said hi 🙂
