Hopefully you remember my original post about sweet little Cobbie. Cobbie was sporting a new name, Danica and was with the wonderful humans at Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, in Asheville, NC. Danica, as you may recall, was FIV+. She had a wonderful new friend in Angelica, another FIV+ kitten. They have become the best of friends and were hoping for a Forever Together home.
Danica was adopted today, but she was not adopted with her best pal Angelica. But how about some extra good news? Upon re-testing, Danica tested NEGATIVE for FIV!
More good news? Even though they did not get a home together, Angelica was also adopted today. More??? Yes! Angelica also, upon re-testing, tested NEGATIVE for FIV!

This is fabulous news that both found forever homes and both retested negative. We hope they won’t miss each other too much, that they’ll have long and happy and healthy lives in their new homes!
THAT IS AWESOME!!!! And another reason we tell people not to freak out about FIV – sometimes the test can be wrong and sometimes kittens throw the virus. We are so happy for these girls!!! Thanks for the good news.
