T.G.I.F. That’s Good (Something New from Purina)

Both have places to go.  Thanks.

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!

My friends at Purina asked me if I would be interested in trying a brand new food from Purina which, as it so happens is Purina Cat Chow Healthy Weight Formula.  I don’t know how they knew that I am on a diet, but my Vet told me I needed to lose a couple of pounds.  So of course, I said yes.  So my T.G.I.F. for today is That’s Good, It’s Fantastic!

This is a brand new product and is scheduled to hit the shelves sometime in June 2012.  According to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention, October 2010, 53% of all cats in the United States are overweight or obese.

So, what’s the verdict?  Take a look see…

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!

Actually we started shouting at Dad when he first opened the bag…and then Dad dished us up some to see what we would do.  As you can see Gracie, Sascha and I dug right in.

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!And Sister Zoe was right there with us.  Honestly, if Dad wouldn’t have told me it was a healthy weight food I wouldn’t have even known.  But, now that I know…who cares, let me tell you, this stuff has the taste and the flavor.  We’re getting just a little bit of it now sprinkled in with our regular food so we don’t get that upset tummy thing going on.  Thanks Purina, we all think you’ve got a winner on your paws!!!

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

53% are overweight? Wow! I find that hard to believe, but then I seem to struggle to keep weight ON Star! Leo is a nice weight for his super long super tall size. I did used to have a calico who was so round you couldnt get your hands around her middle.
Sounds like you guys like it, and that’s great!

I think I said it in your yesterdays post before you posted this one, but on my blog we gave you an award!

  2. Marg

Oh that is exciting, to have a diet food for some of these fatties. Little Miss Fat BG sure does need some diet food. Can’t wait for it to come out. Good to see all of you digging right in. Take care and have a super week end.

  3. Katie Isabella

Mommy said if I keep eating the way I am, I may need to try that next June. I am 9 pounds now..but I am a young lady still. 🙂 xoxox and maybe I can slow down and not have Bad Yak Attacks.

  4. Old Kitty

Hoooraaah for Ginger and Baby-Doll!!! Brilliant news to start the weekend! Yay!

Awww lovely Brian!! Me and Charlie love how you and gorgeous Gracie are both terrific tabbies but ever so different with your furrs and markings! Amazing!!

We are so happy that you both and wonderful Sascha, Dolly, Zoe and Precious enjoyed this yummy new food!!!

    Take care

  5. Random Felines

Glad to see those kitty girls are safe!!!

We eat the purina one indoor – which mom thinks is for hairballs and weight, but she might be interested in this too. Our problem Mo is skinny at 8.5 pounds and Ivy is our resident bowling ball. MOL

  6. Pip

Looks good! My sister Rosie has packed on a few pounds maybe she should give this food a try.

    Your pal, Pip

  7. mariodacat

M says she’s going to watch for that new stuff. She calls me “fatty!” I’M NOT fat, just have a little meat on my bones so I’m not skinny! he hee

  8. Cathy Keisha

If’n I was one of the 53% of overweight cats, I would prolly like that. I like Purina kibble but I’m not cos I’m very active. Gracie & Sascha look like they’re really enjoying theirs. Doing happy dance for Ginger and Baby Doll.

  9. Tamago

Wow everyone is enjoying a lot! Sounds like it’s a very tasty food. It’s great to enjoy the food and lose weight at the same time!

  10. Mumsy and Furkids

It looks like you are all really enjoying that food. We are all okay on weight here. We used Purina food for many years but we can’t eat Purina now because our Granny Patches is allergic to something in the Purina food products. Don’t know if the ingredient is in this new food or not but Mumsy would be afraid to try it. You all seemed to have enjoyed checking it out and we appreciate your review on the food…good job! Hugs and nose kisses

  11. Emma and Buster

we think in our household it’s 50%. Mama thinks Buster is overweight, he’s really heavy and big. Emma is slender and sexy but the vet says the weight is ideal for her body.

we will check this out too. boy your photos convinced us how good the fud truly is.

  12. Mark's Mews

Its good ta know there is some tastey diet kibble available. I may need to remember that. TBT is tryin ta get weight OFF me, ON Ayla, and keep Marley where he is. Its not werkin so far…

  13. Eric and Flynn

That looks very tasty the way you all are eating it. We get mostly wet food which has helped me (Eric) lose weight. We just get a few kibbles as a treat. Mum has just got some new grain free ones and we love them.

  14. Abby

The proof is in the pictures Brian!
    You all love it.
Can’t get a better recommendation than that.

  15. Maya, Harley and Lola

we’re glad you are enjoying the new food!
harley should probably go on a bit of a diet…he just loves his food so much. Lola watches her weight and only eats until she’s full, whereas Harley will eat anything he can find! 53% is quite a lot of fat cats!

  16. Penelope

    Dear Brian and sisters
Me is happy that yous likes the new diet food! But yous better be careful that yous don’t eat too much of it!
