Sister Saturday with Dolly

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!Hello everyone!  It seems like I was just here for Tummy Thursday, but since it is my day to post, here I am again.

I need to ask you a question though, do I look like a butterball to you?  Okay, maybe I shouldn’t have asked that question.  You see, none of us here are the least bit interested in people food.  Really!  We mostly turn up our noses to it.  Sister Zoe likes ham though, but just an itty bit of it, and she doesn’t want it very often.  Me, I like butter, and it has sort of become an evening ritual here.  Every night at Dad and Mom’s dinner time I have to have two really tiny licks of butter, and I mean tiny.  Offer me the third lick and I say no thank you, but I have to have my two licks of butter every evening.  It really isn’t optional.  If someone forgets to put out the butter, no problem, I’ll wait.  Dad calls me his butterball.  I’m not real sure if that’s a good thing or not, but I really don’t mind that nickname, so long as there really is butter involved!

So what about you?  Do you have anything special that you like that your people share with you?

Well, I feel a nap coming on so I’m going to go stretch out.  I hope all of you have a simply wonderful weekend.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Sister Dolly, you are so very pretty. We love your fur colors. Did you know that butter is very good for you tummy and hairballs. Our Mom gives it to some of us on purpose.
We sure hope you have a super week end too. It is too early for our Mom to think of anything special about any of us. We are all so special. Take care. LOL

You look to be just the right size for you sweet Dolly!

Banjo loves the green strawberry tops, soy beans, sugar snap peas and yogurt. All very healthy really. 😉

    Happy Saturday!

We fink they referring to the brand of turkey so we fear they r inferring ur plump but trust us it could be worse our hoomins call us meatloaf!

  4. Hannah and Lucy

Hannah loves chicken – Mum cooks her a chicken breast and gives her some then and puts the rest in the fridge to last her a couple of days (she cuts it up and puts it on top of the cat meat). Lucy is not bothered much about human food although if Mum has salmon she sometimes will have a few mouthfuls.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

I think if given a chance, the boys would eat anything…. and I mean anything… HH has to be very careful because they put anything and everything in their mouths. So, she doesn’t give them people food. She’s afraid that they would pounce on her plate at dinner if she started it.

You are beautiful on that chair. No need to worry about the “butterball” reference.

    pawhugs, Max

I like that name… butterball….. Give your sister, my fiance, a kiss from me…

I never was into people’s food until recently…Now I want it all.. I dont care what it is… My parents always tell me that what they are eating “isn’t good for cats” but what do they know… I want some of their: brocoli, ceasar salad, pasta, lamb, steak, chicken, cheese, pork, fish, ice cream, brussel sprouts, etc…

XOXO Alex (oh, and my mom says hi)

Sister Dolly, we love that cute nickname! It’s very appropriate being that you like your two tiny licks of butter each day. It also helps keep your furs nice and shiny.

Oh Dolly, you are the cutest Butterball I’ve ever seen. he he That’s great that you like butter – keeps your hairballs flowing thru M says. I don’t have any special treats cuz I’m on a diet. My peeps say I’m fat! So they are trying to trim me down a pound or two.

  9. Spitty the Kitty

Hi Darling Dolly! You may be a butterball (in only the best possible way, of course) but maybe “Buttercup” would be a nicer name.

The only “Human” fuds I am interested in is the Gerber’s and the Human does not give it to me NEARLY often enough. I think I should bet some EFURRY night!

Butter? Wow…my kitties haven’t tried that, but when our humans make lunch, let the beggin’ begin. For ham, that is. Thailing LOVES it. She could eat a whole ham (well, that’s what she thinks). And, she still has her slim and trim shape…probably because she gets to running like crazy sometimes, even tho she’s a bit middle-aged.

Oh Sister Dolly, you are a butterball and in the nicest sort of way. I was thinking about patience too (you mentioned yours waiting for your butter) and how we kitties are patient and wait for fuds, play time and most other things that don’t happen on schedule all of the time. I wait by my paper bag and mommy melts when she sees me because she knows I want to play. If she can’t for a little bit she keeps telling me she’s about to be there and just wait..and I always do. xoxoxox you are a gorgeous soft dilute Torbie maybe? XOX

In our household, MOMMY is the butterball! She will take a whole SPOONFUL of butter and let it melt in her mouth. YUCKY.
We have recently discovered we LOVE yogurt. When Mommy starts eating her yogurt, we’ll come running! Yummy.

Love, Whisky, Cosmo and Ling (and Tutu!)

Here at home, the five cats that live in the house, only Nelson is horny for food. Any food the human are eating, awakened his interest. Especially if it’s yogurt, papaya, cantaloupe, watermelon, all that has starch, meat, ham, cheese, tomatoes, broccoli, finally, little thing he does not like! Smacks!

  14. Oskar

No special rituals like you have, but I think it’s cute that you’re his little butterball!

Butter is good for cats. It makes your coat nice and shiny and helps you pass hairballs and stay regular. You have a trim kitty figure, Dolly, so don’t let someone tell you different. I used to like Mexican food but the peeps won’t let me have it anymore cos they say it’s no good for me.
