I am thankful beyond words for the world of Social Media. Well, maybe I do have a few words, but you’ve probably figured that out. Often times, as a kitty dedicated to animal rescue, I run into some who wonders if Social Media can have an actually impact in the rescue world. I am here to tell you that it can have a very positive impact.
First let me say that I am so very thankful for all of my friends. With 10,199 folllowers on Twitter, 2,125 Facebook friends, and over 500 followers of our blog, there is indeed power in numbers. When I post about a critter that needs help there are hundreds and hundreds of you that share that information. Are we always successful? No, of course not. But we’ve been successful enough to make a difference. When I first started my rescue journey I tried my best to keep track of the number of critters we’ve helped. But honestly, it was just too much and often difficult to keep track of, so I quit counting when the number topped 200. Now, instead, I just try to take it one critter at a time. Thanks to those that describe to my newsletter and follow those stories on my rescue blog ForeverHomeWanted.com. I hand select stories and content dealing with rescue in the hopes that it may just give someone else an idea to help the rescues they are involved with.
Many of you asked about the recent posting I did on the pregnant kitty with limited time since the business that was taking care of her was closing at the end of this week. As it turns out, she may not be pregnant. I am not certain of that, but she has been taken to a vet and she didn’t feel any babies. It may be a case of worms. She is getting treatment and although the immediacy has passed, she will still need a home. She is being cared for by the wonderful Vet that took such good care of Sister Dolly before she came to live with us.
So you see, Social Media does work. You work with us and we shall be forever thankful for you. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Brian, your Daddy does work so hard to help the animals that are homeless or just need help. He has done some mighty good work.
Also it gives our person a little push to get busy too. Great post.
Hope all of you have a super day.
Take care.
Wow…. This is amazing… I “knew” how much help you gave animals in finding forever homes, but seeing the numbers made it really hit home. You guys are all wonderful, with such big, loving hearts and all the animals (and people) you have touched are so lucky…Alex & I included 🙂
This is truly one of the most positive aspect of social media – things get done, help is found and lives are saved! Yay! but it’s also down to people and kitties like you and your family, handsome Brian to get the ball rolling!! Thank you!!
Awww we purr and pray for the maybe not pregnant mama kitty! Take care

Brian, this post brought the spark of tears to mom’s eyes. She and I knew that you were of a great help to us furchildren out there wanting and needing a forever home and love but learning how well social media is working (and how hard your Dad is working for us all!) is eye opening.
God bless.
We think you and your dad are awesome for making such a difference in so many lives! Not only are we happy that more animals find homes, it warms our hearts to know there are such caring souls in this world.
Social Media can be a wonderful when we use it for such good causes!
Happy Thursday Kitties!
xo Catherine
Your efforts have helped so many kitties in need Brian, well done!!!!
Brian,
This was a wonderful post! I want to thank you, and your family, for your dedication to rescue. As you probably know, we are not rescue kitties but our brofur, Winston, was rescued from a high kill shelter.
Since Winston came into our lives, Mom has decided that Rescue is the only way to go! Now, we need to get her off her lazy tush and send her out to volunteer at a rescue shelter!
We are both rescue kitties from a house where there were over 100 cats – although it is not such a large situation in the UK also we don’t put any healthy animals to sleep (unless they are dangerous of course). We think you and your Dad do such wonderful work to help abandoned animals.
Thank you for all your hard work.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
We’re so proud to all you our furriend. You d so much for kitties who need forever homes.

Brian, you and your family truly are to be commended for all the work that you do to save so many. You’re right, social media certainly can have a huge impact, reaching globally. It’s pretty amazing, isn’t it?
This is definitely a positive side for social media. Just too bad there are also so many negatives.
we are thankful you are getting the word out (and that kitty is safe)….. every post and every comment makes a difference!!
We are very thankful for all the work you do to help homeless pets!!!!
Thanks for link. You do good work and social media makes all the difference.
Social media totally works with those who really care about animals involved! I hope the young kitty will find her forever home.
I’m so glad that little girl kitty is being treated for her worms. If she had such a bad case of them that she looked preggers, she must have been very uncomfortable. I’m gonna send some extra-special ‘getting-a-forever-home-purrs’ her way, okay? purrs
We love hearing great stories like that!
Brian, I love all the good work you do to help kitties! You do some amazing things.
When properly used the Social Media brings good results!
Thanks to post it!!!
We appreciate how much you do for the many animals in need. You guys certainly put social media to very good use. Keep it up!
Brian, I am so proud to “know” you. You and your humans are amazing and so very caring for God’s creatures. Congratulations on touching so many people with your stories and the stories of the pets you and others have helped. You are an inspiration!
We’re very prould of you and your hard work!!

Well, I am thankful for you, Brian! Because without dedicated and tender souls like you, all the social media in the world would be for naught.
I say yay for social media and yay for you in doing all you do.. Brilliant stuff… Hugs GJ xx
Great news Brian about the preggers/not preggers kitty. I am sure a forever home is on the way for here. Excellent work!
Brian

Brian, Your fambly does so much good for so many kitties (and other creatures too, probably)! You should win a prize for good use of social media!!!
We are still purring for her! Social Media can be good when used properly and for a good cause but many times we just hear about stupid things people post on it or abusive ways they use it.
What me says is Brian yous and your family is the bestest! Me thinks yous deserves big pats on the back!
Kisses
Nellie
