Sister Saturday with Gracie

Adopt cats, we deserve it!

My goodness, it is so hard to believe that it is my Saturday already. It seems like I have been on here a lot lately since I had a big engagement party with my sweetie Alex, and then being sick and having to go to the Emergency Clinic at the same time.  But hey, it is my turn so here goes!

I need to tell you that I am not only feeling better, I’m feeling great!  I have been playing like crazy, not only during our evening playtime, but just any old time just because I feel like it.  And I hardly ever venture far from the living room and kitchen, but I have been all over the place.  Why I’ve even been upstairs talking to Sister Precious under the door.  My asthma hasn’t been all that bad either, but I am still not taking the other new medicine since we’re not totally sure what cause my health problem with…being plugged up.  Dad seems a bit reluctant to make any other changes right now since I am doing so good.

The one thing I’m not looking foward to though is the 4th of July, and it will be here shortly.  Here in South Carolina fireworks are not only legal, they seem to be some sort of requirement for residency.  Those darn things go off on just about every holiday, but the 4th of July is the one where they go off all night long until the wee, wee hours of the morning.  Those things go off on both sides of our house, behind our house, and across the street by our lake.  There is no escaping that noise so we do the only thing we can do…head under the bed.  And just when you think it is safe to come out, there they go again.  I really feel bad for the feral cats, there are lots of young ones and they just won’t know what to do.

I hope you all have a totally fun weekend, and I’m off to catch a window whiffie, yes, really!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

We wish people would be considerate and only played fireworks until a certain time (say, by midnight?)…

Glad you feel betters! Playtime! We hate the fireworks here too for the same reasons. Ugh. If we didn’t know better, we’d swear you lived in our neighborhood!

Our cats hate fireworks too and it seems like folks are ignoring the dry weather conditions. Hope you feel better.

Wow that is a lot of booming sounds on July 4th and feel really bad for those outside kitties who have to deal with it with no shelter.

Oh Gracie we know what you mean about the 4th of July. We hate those boomer things too. I don’t know why people have to shoot them off cuz all it does is scare us anipals. I always run to the basement. It’s not fun.

    Dear Gracie,
    Glad you are feeling better.
I do know what you mean about the fireworks, they are scary.
Since I live in the woods, I am also afraid they will start a fire. That is very scary.
Good luck, I will be thinking of you,
    Kat
