Hello everyone, can you tell I’m here with Flat Brian? I am here in one of my favorite spots, the upstairs landing. I like it here because I can overlook the household and see most of the other kitties, yet they are not to close as to scare me. This has gotten to be a daily thing for me when I come out of my bedroom. Who knows, before too long I might start venturing downstairs and check out the others.
You might remember from our home vet visit that I was diagnosed with Sterile Cystitis, which is an inflammation in the bladder that is characterized by sterile urine, or urine that contains no infectious agents. So far I am doing pretty darn good and an increase in my water intake seems to have kicked it in the butt. My Dad got me my own water fountain and I really love it. I guess I wasn’t drinking all that much water but I can’t say that any more. Plus I get extra juicy stinky goodness for a little added fluid too, and I finish it all up! I sure am glad that these things worked because straining to pee was not fun, and getting a daily shot of medicine didn’t sound like much fun either. I think our new home vet is very smart since she said that is what it was before all the tests confirmed it. Our previous vet said I had a UTI so the medicine for that didn’t do me any good at all.
Now for some very exciting news, I got my first award! I didn’t even know anyone knew me yet. The ever so lovely Katie Isabella shared the Illuminating Blogger Award with me.
My goodness, I just can’t believe I got an award, that is so exciting. Katie says I am supposed to tell you one illuminating fact about myself. Well, I like something that nobody else here really likes, Laxatone (tuna flavor). Yes, the sticky, pasty stuff that helps with fur balls. I lick it right off my Dad’s finger and I think it is delicious. The others have to have it put in their mouth or on there paw, but not me, nope, bring it on. I’m a bit of a shedder so there is a good reason for me to have some help with the fur tum thing. I’m also supposed to pass this on to five others, but since I don’t know that many kitties yet I’ll just have to sleep with the award until I figure it out.
All in all life is wonderful and I always feel loved and important. Now all I have to do is learn to play well with others MOL! But hey, kitten steps, and I’m working on it. I hope you all have a totally fantastic weekend!
p.s. Dad finished washing the house and his tongue looks just fine.
