Hello everyone, I sure hope you are having a great weekend. I get to do something a little different for my post today. Leo from The Celestial Kitties gave me the Illuminating Blogger Award, yes, me! Thanks Leo! If you don’t know them, please go visit, they are fun!
And at the same time Savannah from Savannah’s Paw Tracks gave Brian the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Hopefully you know Savannah, but if you don’t, please go visit. Savannah is a former shelter cat on the road to recovery. Thanks Savannah!
You may recall that for the Illuminating Blogger Award I am supposed to tell you something illuminating about me. Well, the Very Inspiring Blogger Award says we’re supposed to tell you seven things about us. So, Brian said I get to tell you seven illuminating things about me. I’m not sure how illuminating they are, but here goes…
- I don’t much care for stinky goodness, nope, hardly at all. I will have a few bites just to humor Dad, but that’s pretty much it.
- I never cared too much for water either, and that was causing me some medical issues, just like Sister Precious. But now that we have a community fountain downstairs I have learned to appreciate a nice cool drink of water.
- I really like chicken broth, yes, chicken broth. I don’t care too much for chicken, but I think that chicken juice is yummy!
- I am not a big fan of the brush or the comb. With my long furs that does create a problem with fur mats. I have to have my mats buzzed out, but fortunately Mom always makes sure to get my good side when she is taking pictures.
- I had a hard time adjusting to so many cats and Sister Gracie really helped me get out of my shell. Now I’m trying to paw it forward so I keep going upstairs asking Sister Precious to come out and join us.
- I do like treats! But that’s probably one of the reasons I ended up on a diet.
- Those of you who have followed the blog for a while know that I was left outside, in winter, overnight, at our local PetSmart store. That’s how Dad and Mom found me. What you probably don’t know is my sister was left there with me. She was a gorgeous long-haired calico. She was FIV+ and was adopted immediately where she was to be the only cat. Yes, our previous owners dumped us both. I think about her often and hope her life is as happy as mine.
That’s my seven things and hopefully they were a little illuminating. Have a great weekend everyone and remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
You really deserve the award, well done! 🙂 Sascha, you look just like me. I’m so pleased you all have lovely homes now. Big humans can be horrible, I was left out in the street, soaking wet, cold and hungry until I stumbled across my new Mum and Dad, never been happier. Well you guy’s all have fun today.
Big Purrs Alfie xx
Concats on both awards!
Sister Sascha, we sure hope your birth sister is as happy and loved in her forever home too. 🙂
Congrats on your awards!! Thanks for sharing about yourself.
We enjoyed reading your illuminating facts Sister Sascha – we think you have got the most wonderful home now and hope you are enjoying having sisters and a handsome brother too.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Conga rats on those awards and no one deserves them better than you Sascha and your sisters and wonderful brother. We sure did like hearing all those illuminating facts about you. Hope all of you have a super duper day. Our Mom is on her way to the vet with the dog now. That is all she does is go to the vet. Take care.
ConCats on that award. We love finding out new things about your furriends.
The Florida Furkids and Lexi
Congrats on your award! We love learning more about you! Didn’t know you had a sister. Hope she got a good home.
I LOVE chicken broth, Sascha! Of course, I also like chicken, stinky goodness, and playing in the water, but at least we have the chicken broth thing in common!
Your pal, Pip
Congratulations on the award! Wishing you kitties a very happy weekend!

Sure glad you and your sister got wonderful furever homes! Great awards and we have been enjoying meeting Savannah and hearing about her road from rescue to recovery!
Two awards, yippeee!! Good going!
I didn’t know you had been left outside a pet store. That was pretty mean, but it all turned out well for you and your sister, so that’s good. I’m very happy about that.
Sascha, you and the gang have a wonderful weekend!
Tom xx
Sascha, congrats on the award. And I can only say that you are a much better kitty than me. Mommie adopted me as a kitten, so she is my first pet human, but if a previous human had done to me what yours did, I would think about her often, but not to wish her well!!
those are 7 great things (we didn’t know chick-hens came with broth – gonna have to get the mom on that one). 🙂
Congratulations on the awards! We love learning about our friends.
Congrats on your awards. loved reading about you.. Have a great weekend.. Hugs GJ x
Congratulations to the both of you for your awards. We enjoyed the 7 illuminating facts about you, Sascha. It’s sad what your previous owners did to you and your sister but things worked out in the end. 🙂
Congrats on the award. We enjoyed reading about you. It’s illuminating. Purrs!

First, congrats on your awards!!! That’s wonderful 🙂
How can *anyone* just leave kitties in front of a store at *any* time of year, let alone winter?!?! That’s just horrible!! Yet, we are very glad that you and your sister found much better, loving forever homes. We are glad that you’re happy and we hope your sister is as well.
