Thankful Thursday: Days and Months

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!Before I start, Dad is power washing the house so we might not be commenting as much as normal over the next few days, although we will be reading.  I just hope the dirt doesn’t stick to his tongue!

I am always thankful for anything and everything that calls attention to the needs of critters everywhere.  Just take a look around the blogosphere the last couple of days.  We’ve had Hug Your Cat Day, we had the Blogville Pitty Post about Pit Bulls, June is Adopt A Cat Month, and June 14th is Just One Day to stop the killing.  Each and every single day is important and it helps spread the word about so many important critters and causes.  Each one can promote a special cause or event, but more importantly it helps raise the general awareness and importance of all species having a wonderful life and all species living in harmony.  Thanks to all of you for participating in these events.  I am convinced that together we can all make a difference.

Speaking of special days, June 11th is a special day around these parts!

Gracie and AlexHilary, the Alex Mom from Feeling Beachie is hosting an Engagement Party for Gracie and Alex.  To offer a congratulatory toast to the happy couple or please email the head over heels in love groom Alex a picture and a quote, or a toast,  with your blog listed by Friday… email to alex(at)feelingbeachie(dot)com  We look forward to seeing you all at the party!

Thanks to Ann at Zoolatry for the wonderful graphic!

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

A lovely post today! It’s good to be reminded of all the nice things that happen in the blogosphere and in RL. Good luck to DAD with the power washing. I think that is very brave of him!!!

All species living in harmony is really the way to go. I’m totally in that mindset. Thanks for doing so much to raise awareness.

Hiya Brian…there is a lot going on in June…here in the San Francisco Bay area, covering 3 counties ( San Francisco, Contra Costa and Alameda) Maddie’s Fund is holding an event to beat all dog and cat adoption events! There are about 60 shelters participating and short hand version…adoptions are free to loving homes…and Maddie’s Fund will give the shelter $1000-$2000 for each cat/dog adopted based on age and medical issues. Incredible help for so many of our small no kill shelters like the one I am from , the Contra Costa Humane Society..
