How are you all today? I’ve been doing pretty darn good but I haven’t been enjoying the hot weather either. And just in case Brian tells you otherwise, I was not the least bit scared by the 4th of July fireworks. It was just like a thunderstorm without the rain. We were all a little concerned about our ferals since they are not old enough to have ever heard anything like that, but they were there the next morning waiting for breakfast. We can’t actually see them while they are eating but we can often see them while they are waiting or after they are finished eating. There are two little cuties there too. One of the little ones looks like a mini version of Quill from Housecat Confidential and the other one is a itty bitty tortie. Maybe one of these days Dad can get a picture.
Speaking of Dad, I’ve been messing with him when it comes to the meal menu. The Vet said that I have seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff) and recommending that I have a daily dose of Omega-3 Fish Oil. Dad has been putting some in my stinky goodness and I sure liked it and within a week my dandruff cleared up. So what did I do? I quit eating that food with the fish oil in it. But since I really didn’t want to miss my meal I asked Brother Brian if he would switch with me. That worked for a while until Dad figured it out and he started putting the fish oil in Brian’s food instead of mine. So when we made the switch-a-roo I got the food with the fish oil. Guess what? After a couple of weeks I don’t want Brian’s food any more, but he still wants mine. So, I asked Sister Sascha if she would switch with Brian so she can have his, Brian can have mine, and I can have hers. Now the fish oil is in Sascha’s food and I am fine with that…at least for now. This is fun, but Dad keeps talking to himself for some reason.
That’s about it from me today, and I hope you have an exceptionally happy weekend! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Oh Sister Dolly that is a very funny story about the switching of the foods. Our Mom talks to herself too all the time because she tries to give some of us special food but it just doesn’t work with so many weaving our way between her legs.
Sure glad the feral kitties were still there after the boomies. Now Dolly tell that Dad of yours, that we want pictures of those feral kids. You know our Mom loves feral cats. You all take care and stay nice and cool.
Oh Dolly, I can’t imagine why your dad is talking to himself 🙂
What fun / trouble you guys cause. Alex is jealous that he has no one to swap food with when we put pepcid into his dish….
I wish *I* could switch food with someone! I loved your story this morning Sister Dolly. You are very clever! And all of your siblings are so cooperative in putting your Dad thru the wringer about who’s on first! MOL MOL.
How clever Sister Dolly and what a shame your Dad had a sudden thought that you and Brian were swapping dishes. Perhaps you could all swap dishes in future and that would make your Dad very confused and he’d let you all eat whichever dish you wanted!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Oh dear Sister Dolly – my head is spinning and I can’t keep track of whose food is whose!! Good thing you know what you’re doing!! Happy weekend!
You sure know how to mess with your Dad’s head (and ours!!)
The Florida Furkids and Lexi
Nice work on the food switching, I’m taking notes.
I was just reading the little feral looked like me. Then I read you lost one. I feel like I just got to know them. This is sad.
Q
The joy of a multi cat home-yes we have experienced the eating from someone else’s plate. Glad to hear the fireworks did not bother you.
Keeping your dad on his toes is half the fun!
You guys are really confusing Dad! Good job!
Hahaha! That’s so funny about you switching food with Brian and Sascha. 🙂 We hope your Dad doesn’t get confused and put the oil in HIS food. MOL.
So glad the Omega 3 is helping with your dandruff.
MOL Sister Dolly, you are good at explaining this exciting project you have given your daddy. I am sure it will keep him from getting dementia
Have a fun and air conditioned Saturday!
Ha! Way to go, Dolly, we’re impressed with your ability to keep your dad hopping, to so speak.
However, we just saw on Marg’s blog that one of the ferals passed and we wanted to say how sorry we are. We’re sending purrs to you all. You’re all now blessed to have a wonderful forever home, but so many aren’t. 🙁
You are a smart and tricky cat aren’t you?!
Dolly, you just keep your Dad guessing! We MOL’ed at your shenanigans.
We’re sending you guys soft purrs, too. We hope the other kit survives.
Wish I could swop me food with “Furball” , his is slop in a bowl! Smelllllllssssss de-lisssh-ous 🙂 Mines a bowl of dried “rabbit droppings” well that’s what they’s look like!
Just popped back from Marg’s Pet’s, weee’s luuuvs them too 🙂 She said a kitty had gone to the bridge 🙁 We willl’s be thinking about it’s tonight and saying our pawayres.
Big huggies to yooo’s all
Mollie and Alfie xx
I hope your human is enjoying playing musical cat food bowls with you, Dolly!
Marg said that one of the feral kittens died. I’m very sad to hear that.
Sweet Sister Dolly you are one smart girl. You gave us a chuckle we thought of ‘musical chairs’ while reading this post. Hugs and nose kisses
Dolly, you are a very clever ladycat for switching the foods like that! We’ve been getting Omega 3 stuffs in our foods too but we have just one bowl so can’t switch around.
We heard from Marg that one of the ferals crossed the bridge so we wanted you to know our thoughts and purrs are with you.
Purrs,
Angel & Isabella
Maxwell: Dolly you aren’t the only one who “wasn’t scared” at the fireworks. Today’s the first day Faraday’s not been acting SPOOKED out of his fur!
Allie: *softpaw* to you over losing one of your ferals – Marg told us. We’re so very very sorry to hear this….
Brian we heard over at Marg’s that one of the little ferals crossed the bridge….we are so hoping that maybe that was a mistake?
If it wasn’t a mistake we are so deeply sorry and wish we could be there to help
xoxoxoxo
Oh my gosh, how many switch-a-roos are you going to pull before you all wind up with that oil in your foods?? Silly thing! MOL
MOL Sister Dolly you sure are smart to collab with your siblings for their non Omega foods soon the whole house will have fishy food.
So sorry about one of the ferals crossing the bridge.
Purrs
Mom is laffing about the foods switchers and Dad talking to himself. But we are all sad to hear about the fear kitten going to the Bridge. Too soon, poor little thing.
Be careful Dolly, or you will end up with the fishie oil squirted right down yer throat! That wouldnt be fun at all.
Haha! We love how you keep your dad hopping when it comes to food time!
We were over at Marg’s and she said one of the feral kitties went to the Bridge. We are so sorry. RIP, sweet one.
M is sitting here laughing her head off – she says living with more than one cat at a time is like living in a zoo – gotta stay one step ahead of everyone. Poor Dad. He needs eyes in the back of his head so no one can pull anything over on him.
Dolly!
Yous would make a great Cat From Hell! me loves to mess with my pawrents mind too!
Kisses
Nellie
Ha ha ha ha ha! It’s good for the Humans to have to figure out these little puzzles we set up for them!!!
Oh my! You almost outwitted Dad! LOL!
Pearlene (chihuahua) was experiencing flaky skin. She takes salmon oil from Kahoots in her food and in a matter of a few days her coat was softer and no more white flaky stuff.
Dolly, we love how you kept your Dad on his toes. We are proud of you! Our Mumsy will sometimes try to get one of us to eat “special” food. She’ll even put it with one of us in the bathroom so no one else noms it. In that case, all of us just sit outside the door waiting and don’t touch our food. And whoever is in the bathroom just sits and does not eat their food either. It makes Mumsy all funny acting!
You guys all have a happy!
