Many of you know our dear friends Hilary and Marc from Feeling Beachie. I was getting very worried about them since I had not heard from them since they evacuated before Hurricane Sandy hit. I contacted Hilary’s Mom and here is her message back to me…
“I heard from Hilary via a friend’s phone which had power. They are at home
without any home or cell phone power. They had 3ft of water in their
basement & their den floor was trashed. Her husband’s car was ruined while
they were at his brother’s house where they stayed after being evacuated.
She says it is cold & they cannot use their fireplace. But, at least they
are safe, Thank God. ”
Please keep Hilary and Marc in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with the mess.
We’re happy to hear they are safe.
Thanks for updating us, Brian. We’re sorry that they had some damage, but we’re glad they are safe. We will purr for them.
Glad to know they are alive and basically okay. Sorry for all the loss and mess, though. Thanks for letting everyone know.
Happy Halloween. Love your post below this one.
Thank you for letting us know, Brian. We are keeping them in our prayers and purrs for sure. We are glad they are safe but hope things get better for them soon.

Thanks for the update, Brian. I knew they had gone to her brother’s, from reading her post, but hadn’t heard anything further.
I/we echo others’ relief that they’re okay. So sorry about the damage to their house, but that’s just “stuff” in the long run. The most important thing is that they’re safe.

Everyone is in our thoughts during this storm. We have 2 other blog pals that had a tree crash through one home, a tree through a car. 🙁
So glad Hilary and Marc are safe will be sending comforting purrs to them.
Oh dear and in the midst of renos too 🙁

I am glad to hear they are safe, although they did have some damage and no power. Purring for them.
How awful for them. But being safe is the most important thing and thankfully, they are that. purrs
How great that they are keeping positive. I think if all of that had happened to me, then I would be a mess.
Thanks for the update. Purrs and prayers for them.
Thank you so much for letting us know, Brian. We have been very worried about them. We will keep on purring and praying.
Thank you for the update! Glad they’re OK except for the flooding.
Hope your friends get their power back soon and get all the water out without losing too much. They must be careful because there is gas leaking in the water all over the Jersey shore. Any spark could be catastrophic.
If people are safe and well that is the best thing!
xo Catherine

Your “virtual” Howloween costumes are the BEST! Especially Precious–she looks fabulous!

glad everybody is safe, hope they get the power back soon
We are sorry they have damage but very glad to hear they are safe. Thanks for the update.
We’re thankful your friends are okay, but it’s not fun to be without heat or electricity in November. It’s starting to get cold now, and how very boring at night with nothing to do and a dark house on top of it. We hope they get power back soon.
yikes. thanks for the update – paws crossed they stay safe!
thank you so much for the update. my thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
Thanks for letting me know how Hilary and Mark were doing! I’m SO sorry he lost his car, and all the water in their basement! But as long as they’re ok, that’s all that matters! Just got my internet back and power back, so I can understand what they’re going through! Positive thoughts!
Thanks for the update, Brian.
