On the third day of our trip we were treated to a visit to the world famous Purina Farms. Purina Farms, which is located in Gray Summit, MO, features the Purina Event Center, a Visitor’s Center and several outdoor canine competitions areas. Whoa, talk about a beautiful and impressive place!
We were impressed from the moment we arrived! We were treated to a presentation about the Purina Breeder Enthusiast Group, which, as cat people, we found the dog information quite interesting. Also, a rather large poodle named Anne took quite a liking to my Dad.
The Event Center Arena Great Hall is around 45,000 square feet and can accommodate even the largest of dog or cat events. They literally have anything and everything you need including state-of-the-art equipment for live web streaming of the events.
I did take a few minutes to check out the ProPlan Hospitality area, and even though I looked everywhere, there wasn’t a NipTini in sight.
We were then treated to a performance by some Wolrd Class Frisbee Dogs along with the famous Diving Dogs. My doggy friends Sagira’s and Bokeh told me I would be impressed, and boy was I ever. This one was getting a little close so I latched on to the trainers leg just in case.
This little one welcomed us to the Cat Training Center, and even though this one is just 4 months old you can see star power already. We got to see one kitty jump rope with the trainer and it never missed a beat. We also got to see some cats do the agility course, complete with jumps, a weave poles, a tunnel, a ramp and a hoop. Okay Dad, don’t get any bright ideas. My Dad was really thrilled to get to take Rosie the Cat through the agility course.
In closing, I would like to say that we are very proud to be a part of the Purina Pet Blogging Community. Every single human and critter we met made us feel like we are a part of the Purina family. We have always been a Purina home, but I can tell you first paw that when Purina says “Your Pets. Our Passion”, it is not just a clever tag line on a logo. They live it and they mean it. Thanks once again to everyone at Purina. You, my friends, are a class act.
Adopt cats, we deserve it!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrr! Zip! Later!
Disclosure: This trip was paid for by Nestle Purina PetCare Company. The opinions expressed herein are my own.
I love these updates… your dad was so lucky to have had this opportunity. I couldnt think of a more deserving person…
I live in St. Charles, MO – you were right near my hometown! Love the photos, Brian!
WE are so glad that Dad had so much fun with Purina. We have always been Purina kitties too. We would have liked to have seen Dad doing the agility with the kitty. Sounds like a good time was had by all. Take care.

Whoa! You got to go too! Your review was the best cos YOU gave the tour. How could they call it a hospitality suite without Niptinis?
Sounds like an awesome time, although watch those poodles, before you know it they’ll try and sneek into your house haha
Wow, the scale of the place is impressive! Odin would have loved to explore the agility course!
So pleased your Dad had a great time, I see you snuck in to Brian..MOL Wish we had events like that near us.. xxooxx
Great photo’s!
Pawsome post! We bet this was a great trip. Purina looks so cool, too bad there were no niptinis.
What a great adventure! Thanks for telling us all about it. I don’t think we’ve had Purina cat foods. Maybe we should try it sometime.
Such a cool adventure! We love hearing about it and seeing the photos. We never really knew how impressive the behind-the-scenes could be at a company like Purina. We are VERY impressed!
