Thankful Thursday: Commentathon to Feed The Pets With Banfield Pet Hospital

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!

First let me say please share this with all of your pals, we got 2 weeks to feed some pets!

I am always thankful when a wonderful organization steps up to help pets in need, and today I am thankful to Banfield Pet Hospital and the Banfield Charitable Trust. What’s even better is that you have the opportunity to do two things:

  1. Find out the current state of pet health, and;
  2. Provide a bowl of food to a pet in need

The State of Pet Health Report, the first report of its kind from Banfield Pet Hospital, has a brand new consumer-friendly home on the web, Banfield would like for to share this information with you and for every comment that I get on this post Banfield will donate one bowl of food to a pet in need through the Banfield Charitable Trust. That is a terrific deal! gives pet owners access to the PDF version of the Report, as well as the latest news, insights, & tips on preventing disease in pets, including overweight & obesity, kidney disease, arthritis, and more – all from the comfort of home. features include:

· Overweight & Obesity: Check your pets’ Body Condition Score and daily caloric needs

· Check out geographic trends and trends in disease

· Learn about the top diseases affecting pets and which breeds are most at risk

· Prevention tips and many other special features to ensure pets live long and healthy lives

Please check out this terrific site and asks others to do the same and to stop by and leave a comment (one comment per person please) here on my blog. Let’s fill up lots of bowls, we’ve got 2 weeks, please spread the word! Thanks Banfield!!

UPDATE: Okay, I think I confused everyone. I am having the Commentathon and Banfield is providing 1 bowl of food for each comment on THIS POST through December 12th. Please ask everyone you know come leave a comment on this post. and to go download the wonderful report at Thanks!

We’ll have to make sure that we don’t miss visiting you every day for awhile. Every bowl of food is very important, especially to the kitty who will be receiving it.

You have found yet another creative way to help others, Brian. Kudos!

If this is all I have to do, then it is the easiest think I have done all day! And the best thing I have done all day! Feed the babies!!

  9. Jet

    Hey Brian, Jet here.

Great resource. We popped over and read a few parts. Mom learned that labs have decreased by 10% over the last year and goldens are not even in the top 10 anymore… hmpf!

Great project, thanks for telling us. 🙂

What a great idea! I could of used the details on obesity when I had a cat named Bear…she was rather large but lived to the feisty old age of 15! Good luck and many bowls!

This is a great opportunity to feed some hungry animals. Humans need to remember that we are the caretakers of all animals on earth and we are bound to protect them. It is only by our grace that they will survive. Thank you Brian for taking the mantle of responsibility and to Banfield for paving the way.
