Hello everyone, it is me Gracie and I am thrilled to be here today. I don’t mind telling you that I have been very sad since my beloved HusbandCat Alex went to the Rainbow Bridge on July 16th. Everywhere I go I have my Alex heart with me because he will always live in my heart. Honestly, I haven’t been in the Christmas spirit, until now that is, and my heart is beaming with joy.
I got a package in the mail the other day from my Mother-In-Law Hilary and my Father-In-Law Marc. I was so surprised because I don’t get many packages addressed just to me. I couldn’t wait to open it, especially since I saw it was from New York. I am beyond thrilled and I just have to show you what I got…
Hilary made me the most beautiful ornaments for our tree! One says Gracie ♥ Alex and the other says Alex ♥ Gracie. Oh and wait, let me turn them over for you…
The backs are beautiful too. One has a photo of our first kiss and the other has the most wonderful photo of my Angel Alex. I know that it is kind of hard to see, so let me show you a close-up of the front and back.
My Angel Alex and my Brother Brian were best buds and Hilary and Marc also sent three other ornaments that are just too cute for words. One has my name, one has Alex’s name and the other has Brian’s name on it.
I am so deeply touched and we have put these beautiful ornaments on our tree where I can see them each and every time I look at our tree. My Christmas is better now and my heart is smiling with the spirit of Christmas and the love of my dear Alex. Thank you so much Hilary and Marc, I love you so very much, you are the best!!!
Hilary and Marc lost so much during Hurricane Sandy and they have still not recovered from this disaster. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers this holiday season. My Christmas wish for them is that normal returns to their lives very quickly, they so deserve it.
Love and hugs until next time. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
New York has GOT to be special!
That was such a lovely, truly lovely, thing for them to do, especially given their circumstances. They’re very special humans, Gracie, just as Alex was so special, and always will be in spirit. 🙂
Oh Gracie that was a lovely thing for your inlaws to do,but please don’t be sad cause one day you will see Alex again and he is still with you even if you can’t see him.and you are not alone as you have all you family and your blogging family.so be merry and happy for no one should be sad at Christmas….plus you have me your friendly Speedy bunny to make you laugh and give you cheer….heehee….you never know when I might turn up to cuase a little cheekiness.xx Speedy
Gracie, it is okay to be sad… Marc and I are still very sad too, but we are so thankful that your husband didn’t have to experience Sandy… It would have been a disaster for him, at his age…
I am so glad you like the ornaments…. and I hope that every time you see them you feel Alex’s love as well as Marc and my love too….
Love you all!
Hilary, just showed this to Middle. She loved it. So glad Gracie loves her ornaments. They are very cute!!! 🙂
Gracie – just wanted you to know that Susi’s daughter (little boca frau) helped me pick out the pictures to use 🙂
Gosh, that was so nice of Hilary to make those ornaments. They are really really nice.It is extra special since they have been through so much. Gracie, you are so lucky to have such nice in-laws. Take care.
Great package indeed and you look so relaxed with those paws crossed.
We didn’t know that Hilary and Marc were in the fury of Hurricane Sandy and so sorry that they are still trying to recover from it. How lovely of them to send you that lovely package Gracie in the midst of their turmoil.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

Oh… I have tears of happiness and sadness… what touching and thoughtful gifts from Hilary and Marc, escpecially in light of what they are going through. My blessings go out to them, but it does seem that they know what the true spirit of Christmas is…

That was so sweet and thoughtful of them! Especially considering the hardship they are going through right now.
What super special ornaments!
We are sorry to hear that Hilary and Marc were so affected by Sandy. It was a terrible storm for many and we were so fortunate to come out unscathed.
Hey Brian, Jet here.
Gracie, what a loving family you have. Those special ornaments will stay with you always and keep your Angel Alex in your heart pocket.
Love the 3 other ornaments, too.
We absolutely will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers as they rebuild.
That is so sweet. We think about Hilary and Marc often and hope they can find some joy this season with everything that happened. We LOVE your ornaments.

I, Alex’s grandma. loved the ornaments & am so happy that Gracie and her family will enjoy them this Christmas and in the next holidays, as well. I know how special you are to Hilary & Marc. They love you all. Happy Holidays.
I unnerstans, Gracie, because My Beautiful Admiral flew away to the Bridge last year in the middle of December. I know I have many LadyCat friends, but Admiral was very special to me and I was sad for a long time. But the truth is I still feel her little spirit with me and sometimes she whispers to me in the dark. I am glad you gotted those wonderful things and that they are making you feel happier. XOXOXO
