This is my ottoman, okay, okay, this is our ottoman. Some of us like certain cat trees or certain parts of the cat tress, and some of us have our favorite snoozy spots, but all of us seem to love this ottoman. It has been around for quite a while too and actually it was here when I came. I am starting to worry about it just a bit though, it’s starting to look a little ratty. Someone has used it as a scratching post, and no, I’m sure I wouldn’t know who would do such a thing. Well, maybe I do know something about it, but I’m really not at liberty to discuss it.
I know, I’ll change the subject. Guess what? I got a very nice award from my friend Marilia from Repositório da Marilia…
Thank you so much for sharing with us! If you don’t know Marilia, please visit her, she has a most beautiful family.
In other news, we did have a WhiffFest on Saturday and it was so nice and warm and the windows were open most of the day. Then on Sunday, the rain came back and it brought some chilly stuff with it. Oh well, I know spring has got to be around somewhere close. Gotta run, remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Concats on your award. We do know Marilia. She s one of our few regular visitors. Hope you all had a good Easter holiday. The poor ottoman….the usual fate of furniture in a household with kitties.
We don’t your Ottoman looks ratty. Rather, it looks lived in. And that’s a good thing! 🙂
Congratulations on your award, Brian!
the ottoman looks perfectly broken in to me!
Have a wonderful easy Easter weekend guys and big ConCats on the lovely award xx00xx

Congrats on the award and yeah who knows how those scratch marks get there.
Hooray on your award! I’m sure the scratching on the ottoman just makes it more comfy. 🙂

That ottoman looks so comfy and I can see why it’s such a hit there at your house. There’s a badly clawed couch here and strangely nobody here wants to discuss it either.
Congrats on your award and I’m glad you got some window whiffies. We had that here a bit last week too.
Your ottoman has that lived in look – Mum says she’s learned to live with our various “lived in looks”!

We don’t have ottoman in our home but it does look very comfy. Sunday was bit chilly here as well but we had good weekend 🙂 We wish you a wonderful new week!
concats on the award. we love your ottoman – the worn ones are the best!!!
Brian, we KNOW that YOU would not have used that as a scratching post. Never. No no. By the way, I love your choice of title to your blog today. Very apt. Xoxoxo
Well, we think that ottoman fits your empire quite well. And if there’s no actual DNA evidence…then no one is the wiser! Ratty? Nahhh, that just adds CHARACTER.
That ottoman has LOTS of life left in it…as a scratching post!
Uh-oh, I hope nothing happens to your Ottoman!
Yeah, Brian, it’s probably best not to focus too much attention on that ottoman. Especially if you’re sitting on it and it’s been scratched again…..
Congrats on your award!!
congrats on the award Brian, you deserve it,we already visit her and her family,xx Speedy
Concats on your award from our South American friends and we think every cat home is friendlier with a few well loved pieces of furniture.
That ottoman must be very special indeed if all you kitties love it so! Congrats on your award too, Marilia has a gorgeous bunch of kitties!
It’s really fun to see how cat’s find their favorite spot(s) over time. Ottomans would be great for so many activities!

Lovely Brian!! Yay for your ottoman!! It looks good and you look wonderful on it! Take care

Well now the ottoman can be Object D’art for the humans in addition to the resting place after all who would not appreciate kitty art by a master.
Congrats on yet another well deserved award! Happy April Fools Day!
um says your ottoman has a look she is well used to and it adds to the lived in look. Congrats on the award. Hugs GJ x
If you have an ottoman you have an empire!! ConCats on your award, Brian 🙂
Brian that ottoman looks purrfect to us. A few stray stings is a good thing, it’s a homey look. Concats on your lovely award.

The ottoman here has been covered with a thick towel since we each arrived. Not to protect it from us, but cuz it is in rather worn shape. So its NOT OUR FAULT!
Congrats on the awardie and the Whiffest, too.
Thank you for stopping by on my Birthday…….we really had a fun day.
Awards from friends are special, congratulations=^Y^=
your ottoman is well loved, Brian 😀 Concats on your awardie, too!

What a well loved ottoman, and you’ve got it just where you want it now!
Ratty=Well Loved.
Thank you for your sympathies at our blog. We miss Scooby every day.
Glad you wouldn’t rat on anyone Brian. *nudge nudge* What goes on in da hood, stays in da hood. Glad you get whiffies.
That ottoman still has a lot of life in it, Brian! Congrats on your award.
There’s nothing wrong with a few tatters on your favorite ottoman. It just means it’s been loved a lot. But if it’s looking really ratty and the seams are coming apart, your human could probably mend it a bit.
The ottoman is like your family’s Velveteen Rabbit…not real until it is a bit ratty looking, filled with lots of stories and smells and with lumps in just the right places for a good cuddle!
You need to be ultra vigilant, Brian. It when the things we love reach that critically important well-loved and broken-in stage that someHuman looks at it with a disapproving eye and says, Huh. Boy, maybe we should get rid of that & get a new one…. And before a kitty even knows it, his favorite thing is GONE.
It is those pesky squirrels who have damaged the Ottoman Brian, we know it. Concatulations on your award. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
Uh oh, I don’t think the Ottoman was supposed to be used as a scratching post…just saying…
Ottoman is yours Brian no one elses 🙂
Brian! Yous makes a great King of the Ottoman Empire!
Kisses
Nellie
Well Brian me myself and me like to sit on the bottom of the reclining sofa when Dad is , well, reclining. It is getting a bit ratty but I am a no claw so, hmmmm, I wonder who…
Anyhow
Love that there sleepy spot you got.
Maybe it could be re-covered?
With cat nip stuffing added of course
