Thankful Thursday: Black Cat Update – Panther’s Pals Persevere Purrfectly

Remember Panther?  If you missed the original post (here), take a minute to go read about him.  Panther cheated the Put-to-Sleep needle twice and likely used up at least four of his nine lives during the process.  When we were contacted to assist Panther, it was obvious to us that he was meant to live.  Not only was he meant to live, he was meant to live without fear of going through any similar ordeals in his future.

I hoped to enlist my pals to help Panther and together give him enough exposure to reach someone willing to help him out.  Boy did you ever come through!  We had around 35 individuals that were willing to help dear Panther.  His guardian angel had to triage the many responses (no easy task) and determine who might be the best fit for dear Panther.

Panther has been adopted!

Panther has been adopted!

Panther will be going to live with a very nice lady named Adriel who wrote me to tell me that she is honored to help Panther and that he will have the best care as long as he lives and will give him the safety and stability he deserves.  She is having a safe outdoor enclosure built for him so he can go outside in good weather, otherwise he will spend the rest of the time as an indoor kitty.  Adriel tells us that she will cherish Panther and regard being his forever guardian as a great privilege.

This is indeed a Thankful Thursday and, on behalf of Panther, I want to thank each of you who offered to share your home with Panther.  I also want to thank my many friends for endlessly sharing the information about Panther in order to make this all possible.  I do want to give a special meow-out to my friend @whskr on Twitter, and from the website DashKitten.com, who constantly tweeted and shared his information and asked others to do the same.  A special thanks to Adriel, Jenna and Crystal who made this all possible.  My hat is off to each of you!

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

This is such a heartwarming story…Kitty & I are so very happy that Panther found a forever home and a kind loving Person to care for him. Yes, it wasn’t his time to go…he still had so much to give (love) to his new person. If possible, will you keep us posted of his acclimating into his new home? We would love hearing about it!!! Thanks for all that you did to help with this process. God Bless…

Yippee! Every kitty deserves a good home, but our mom has a soft spot in her heart for back kitties so she is especially tickled that Panther will have Adriel and vice versa. Keep up the good work. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
