Mancat Monday: Whiffieless, an Award and a Tortie Feral

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it! What’s wrong with this picture?  Yep, the dang windows are closed, and they’ve been closed forever.  Okay, not forever, but it sure seems that way.  It has been raining, raining, and raining some more.   Our blogging buddy Marg, who lives about an hour south of us, says she is building an ark, so we may have to get ready to board any time now.  The rain is supposed to stop, for maybe a day, and then it’s supposed to come back again.  Sigh.

So, let’s move on to a few things that are more fun.   I received a great award from my pal Soeedy the Cheeky House Bunny.

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it.Speedy gave us the “I am part of the WordPress Family Award” and we thank you so much!  Did you know that Speedy and his Mom opened Speedy’s Card and Gift Shop? Well, you really should check it out, they have some really cute things!

Now then, if you remember last week I challenged my Dad to get a picture of one of the elusive feral tortie cats.  The torties are so human shy, there is just no getting close to them.  But, my Dad accepted the challenge and he actual got two pictures of one of the torties having a drink out of the bird bath.

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it! Here she is having a nice drink.  This was taken early last week before the monsoon moved in.  The two torties have been here since they were kittens.  I think she suspected that someone might be watching her because she was about ready to leap and run when Dad got this one…

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it! She is a cutie, and she often catches a snooze under the older bath part that is leaning up against the base.  We have a hard time telling the two torties apart and we think they are not only sisters, they are twin sisters.

I hope you all have a wonderful week!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Sometimes, Cats Herd You

The feral tortie is a real cutie. She’s lucky to have neighbors like you who give her a safe place to nap and drink.

The rain finally stopped here, so maybe your rain will stop eventually, too, and you will get window whiffies again. We’ll keep paws crossed for you, so you don’t have to ride in Marg’s ark.

That tortie kitty is so pretty. I am glad they have a place to eat and drink.
We sure hope the sun comes out on all of us. Needless to say, we are tired of rain. Yesterday was awful.
Take care and have a great day.

We know how you feel with all that rain Brian – we had several months like that a while back. Watch out you don’t get webbed paws. We hope your ferals have somewhere dry to hang out in.

Oh geez, I do hope the rain ends soon! I love the pictures of your feral friend. She looks like the pictures of the cats in Italy. My assistant has a calendar of the cats of Rome. They are always sitting next to fountains and ruins.

So sorry you can’t have your windows open Buddy. Hopefully that rain will go away this week. I checked out Speedy’s blog, nice cards too. Congrats on the award…enjoy. Those two kitties are so fortunate to have your Dad looking out for them. Too bad they will not allow him to approach them. Oh well…maybe one day! Have a great Monday Brian & Dad!!!

Brian, love seeing the Tortie. They have a special place in mommy’s heart. I don’t mind though. I have a special place too.

Brian, we have had buckets and gallons and rivers of rain. There is another rock slide on I-40. This time not over MY mountains going east, but about 40 miles farther west. These rains make rock slides. Last 3 years have been horrible.

Oh those feral pics of that gorgeous tortie are wonderful! Can they be trapped before they get pregnant?

You got a nice window perch there. Concats on the award. Bet if the tortie saw how handsome you were, she’d be smitten enough to let your Dad catch her. BTW, you need to add Sister Kit to your header and at the bottom. I’m sure she’d like that even though it’s really none of my business.

Ugh, sorry about that all rain, Brian! Hang in there!

I’m so glad your dad got these pictures! I have a soft spot for torties. My Lucy was a tortie. I’m so glad they have a place to go. I wish they could have an indoor home but I know they’re completely feral so I suppose that’s not possible. You guys are so good to help them.

It never rains but it pours! At least with all this water soaking into the earth, you shouldn’t have a drought this summer (hopefully). Concats on your award. You are deserving as always.

And that little tortie is a real beauty! I love the pictures of her in the birdbath. If she has to be feral, I’m so glad she’s feral in your back yard.

Your dad did a great job with the torties. They are lovely, too bad they are ferals. Haha, all that rain is on its way up here! (But we are 3 inches short this year, so its a good thing. I think.)

It’s raining here too, but it will be over very soon and we don’t get enough! Too bad you can’t send any of yours our way. That tortie girl reminds me of Binga, except Binga is the polar opposite in human friendliness – she can’t get enough human attention!

Your weather Brian sounds like our Summer last year. It rained and rained and nothing grew and we got loads and loads of slugs. We thought we’d need an ark too. Hope your weather improves and you can open your windows again. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly

We think your dad did great, getting pics of the tortie! Too bad they’re both so shy, but we’re glad they have wonderful care from your family.

Concats on the award, Brian, and send A BIT of rain to us! After our LONG and COLD and MISERABLE winter, we’ve had glorious, perfect weather, but it’s too dry now!

The feral tortie is beautiful, your dad got some great photos of her. We hope she’s healthy and happy.
Congratulations on your award!
