Mancat Monday: New Stuff, Old Stuff plus Awards

59 Comments on Mancat Monday: New Stuff, Old Stuff plus Awards

Gee, I’ve got three different categories going on here today, New Stuff, Old Stuff and a couple Awards.  Do notice that I’m not complaining about the weekend monsoons and lack of window whiffies MOL!  Lets get started, shall we?

New Stuff

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
I got my new Forty Paws Ham-mick and I love, love, love it. Notice that this one is not sagging down to the floor, yet.  But speaking of our friends at Forty Paws, their Smokey has cancer, so if you haven’t stopped by yet with purrs and prayers, please do so today.

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
Sister Zoe got her new scratching tower and she is one happy girl.  Her tower is her most favorite snoozy spot and she was quick to break it in with a nice long nap!!!

Old Stuff

Well of course the old stuff I would be referring to would be our Dad.  I want to thank you for all the purrs, woofs and prayers, our Dad is doing pretty darn good and seems to be getting along just fine.

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
Anyone who knows our Dad knows he loves his coffee and as soon as he woke up after surgery he asked for coffee.  He said the coffee was pretty darn good even if the cup was kind of small!!!

Awards

Piranha
My friend Piranha from A Day in the Life of Piranha Banana shared two awards with us…

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
Thanks so much Piranha!  If you don’t know Piranah, please do stop by and you will be glad you did.  Piranah is quite the woofie and is a Therapy Dog, has a regular newspaper column and runs a socialization group for doggies.  I know you will enjoy this fun blog!

That’s my Monday wrap-up, but don’t forget the Opt-to-Adopt Blog Hop tomorrow.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Sometimes, Cats Herd You

We are purring loudly for Smokey. We’re glad your Dad is doing OK.. Our head peep never thought of asking for coffee after surgery. She is SO doing that next time. She thinks it’s barbaric that they make you go without coffee the morning of surgery. Have a great Monday, Brian!

We’re glad your dad is feeling better — too funny that his first request was for coffee. That could be our human, double cream, please. 🙂

Brian
We feel so bad for Smokey and Maw and Paw because this year has been so difficult and now dear Smokey is ill. We are purrarying very hard. We are glad you got a new ham-mick and you look very cozy. We are so glad your Dad is doing well and we will continue to keep him in our purrs too. Everyone has our purrs even those who don’t think they need them. I think we all need to start a big nap pile of purrs just to keep the good vibes going.

Oh Brian, it was so good to see your Daddy. He must have been in the 1 day surgery unit I hope? He is looking good there. You all need to hold him down. (My mim feels that way about coffee too!)

I love MY ham-mick too! It is nice and sturdy and doesn’t sag under my 11 pounds. Let me go see about Smokey. Sister Zoe, you look awesome up there on your new tower!!
xxooxx

Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning

Hope your Dad is continuing to recover.

Mom would love to have Phantom sleep on a doggy bed that is like those hammicks, but the bony old guy prefers the hardwood floor.

Congrats on your very sweet award.

I am so sorry but my Mom is not polite at all! She was LAUGHING at your Dad’s photo! The NERVE of her!!!! Do you believe it? It reminded her of her lithotripsies and she is the same as your Dad. As soon as she gets out of a litho the FIRST thing she asks for is coffee!
Let me say for my rude Mom, that we are BOTH glad that you are doing well and Mom cannot wait to see you in a few days!

Where to start? There’s so much going on at your place! First, Brian, you look soooo cute in that pic on your new ham-mick. Zoe’s scratching tower is awesome. I think I may get Annie one. That would be cheaper than a cat tree, but if she likes it, then I’ll know that she would most likely like a tree. (She snubs everything so I’ve been hesitant to buy an expensive tree to have her snub that too.) Your dad looks great, especially for just coming out of surgery, but coffee with a straw is a big bummer. Congrats on… Read more »

Ack! You almost look exactly like Dorf on that ham-mick, except that it isn’t sagging to the ground! Maw had to look several times to make sure that you weren’t Dorf! Very cute photo of you on your Ham-Mick!

Glad to hear that you Dad is doing good after the surgery, and that he wanted coffee! That’s the spirit!

Thank you for posting about Smokey. We are very sad that he has the ‘c’ word.

Many hugs to you,

We are so sorry we missed the news of your dad needing surgery; but are howling with happiness that he appears to be OK. Still just to be certain we are sending White Dog healing energies and java coated jolts of positive thoughts. The new nap spots both look VERY comfy. We hope they get LOTS of good use. Smokey, we do not know you, but if you are a friend of Brian’s we know you are a tough Warrior. We ask the universe to fill you with strength and hope as you fight this monster. OOoh – your belly is just begging for rubs on that ham-mick! Love the scratching tower – I wonder why they don’t make ‘biting’ towers for dogs too!? It is a cat’s world I guess! I am keeping little Smokey in my prayers for a speedy recovery and for your daddy – so that he is 100% soon. A little therapy dog tip from me that will benefit you: Petting a cat (or dog) lowers a human’s blood pressure and increases their serotonin levels…sooooo tell your Daddy my recommendation is to give you lots of petting and scratches behind the… Read more »
