Good news, Gracie is going to be okay.  There are no blockages and no stones.  There is likely pain associated with the UTI, some bladder inflammation and urethra  inflammation.  There is also an asthma flare up which was causing her panting.  She has some pain medication which should help and will be on prednisone for a week to help get her asthma back under control.  Thanks for all the purrs, prayers and woofs!!!

Poor little mite! Prayers and continued purrs for sweet Gracie…we’re glad that nothing TOO serious is going on. No doubt the pain contributed to her asthma. Did she get a patch for pain?

We hate those weekend Emergency Vet visits, especially a holiday weekend. Luckily we love our emergency vet, Maureen! She saved Lily’s life! We are so glad that Gracie seems to have everything she needs now to feel better soon. But a double whammy of the UTI and asthma can’t be fun. Hope purrs and prayers from the eight of us will help. I am so glad she doesn’t have stones or blockages (Annie had two stones in her bladder when she first came to live with us). I’m so sorry she had to go to the ER though. That is always scary. I didn’t know she had asthma (or maybe I forgot). The pain medicine (buprenorphine or something like that) that’s usually given for UTIs is quite good. I’ve only heard good things about it from lots of people. Lucy was on it daily too. I hope it helps Gracie feel better as well as the pred. Poor sweetheart. Hope to hear soon that she’s much better. I think she’s such an adorable girl. Big hugs to her!

Oh dear – I’ve been missing for so long that I didn’t even know she was ill. So happy to hear she is doing better now. Healing purrs coming her way, and M said she’d put her in M’s prayers too.

Glad she is okay. My brother had a really bad blockage two years ago and needed surgery but he has been fine ever since. He has a special food to keep it from happening again. Happy Labor Day!
