This past Saturday my Dad was one of the transport drivers for The Cute Transport Network with Dorian from Your Daily Cute. We were helping to transport the Cheese Kittens, Brie, Blue, Cheddar and Gorgonzola. Handsome mancat Frankie also hitched a ride to his new forever home in Alabama.
As most of you know by now, my friend Dash Kitten was sent to the Bridge way before his time. Dash always was the first to help those in need and helped us many a time in finding homes for critters. I decided to dedicate my leg of the transport to Dash using the Twitter Hashtag #DashMemorialRescueRun. When I let Dorian know what I was doing she immediately advised the transport team and everyone was on board. Dash sent out many a tweet for this transport to help find the drivers.
Take a look at this. The first leg of the transport from Gastonia, NC to us in Greenville, SC. All decked out to honor Dash & Mom Marjorie.
Here are the Cheese Kitties. They will be making their way to San Antonio, TX and had two very long days. But it will be well worth it for them, they will be socialized and adopted into wonderful forever homes.
This handsome dude is Frankie. Frankie had found a forever home in Alabama and was searching for a way to get there. Fortunately the Cheese Kitties offered dear Frankie a ride and he rode shot gun with Dad.
Here’s a goodie, Frankie was rolling over showing his tummy. Frankie was originally named Daisy because everyone thought he was a girl. We found out we weren’t “Driving Miss Daisy” early Saturday morning, so Daisy became Frankie. Frankie did sing to us for most of the trip, but we think he was mostly ticked about everyone thinking he was a girl.
Thanks to all the drivers for volunteering and driving these sweeties. They will appreciate your love forever!
Now, for a few awards…
My friend, and award winning writer, Nerissa from Nerissa’s Life, shared the Wonderful Team Member Leadership Award. with us. Thanks Nerissa, we appreciate you and all you do to help critters.
My incredible pal Socks from Alasandra, the Cats and Dogs shared his very nice Super Sweet Blog Award with me. Thanks Socks, we love you pal. In case you haven’t heard, Socks was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia in his bone marrow. Socks also has hyperthyroidism. Please stop by with purrs, hugs and love for dear Socks.

That was such a good idea to dedicate that transport to Dash and Marjorie. That was so horrible what happened to him. So very sad. And a big thanks to the Dad for doing that transport. So great to help those kitties find their new homes. Take care.
Oh this is so sweet of you to dedicate your leg of transport to Dash. He must be smiling from over the RB. Cheese kitties and Frankie are very cute!

That is a great way to honour your pal Dash. The cheese kittens and Frankie are very cute and we wish them well in their new forever homes. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
I am not you quite know what to make of that bag, Brian! Hehe. Maybe you’d feel more comfortable in it instead of under it…
Give your dad extra head butts for helping out with the transport this weekend! So grateful to have such good pals so we can help so many kitties!
And it was a wonderful idea to have the Dash Memorial Rescue Run. I’m glad he thought of it and shared it with us, and that the Cheese Kittens’ ride was timed so perfectly to be able to honor dear Dash.

Take care

We love to hear of successful transports to get kitties either to their new furever homes or as part of their journey. We bet Dash will be smiling down on all you played their part in them arriving safely.

We love reading about the kitty transports. A beautiful way to honor sweet Dash and Marjorie. Those Cheese kitties are just the cutest ever! And Frankie, yeah, we bet he had a great singing voice. Purrs…
How awesome that your human dedicated this transport to Dash! I love hearing about all these transports and all the good humans do on behalf of kitties. Concatulations on your awards too!
That was a lovely way to honour Dash by dedicating your leg of the transport to him.
Brian, we love you 🙂 xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
those are some serious cuties catching a ride and we know Dash was watching over!!
Such a beautiful way to honor Dash. Surely he was purring and smiling from the Bridge.
So sad still about Dash, but what a lovely way to honor him!
You guys (or rather, your peeps–we’re pretty sure you don’t drive, Brian) did GREAT this weekend…thanks for helping save some more kitties! And such a nice way to honor Dash.
What a great thing to do for Dash, those kittens were too cute and we are pretty sure Dash was watching over them and Frankie to make sure they got safely to their homes.
Thanks for the shout out for Socks. Haven’t heard from the specialty vet today, but we are still enjoying the normal blood work news from Saturday.
So frustrating that our regular vet has to wait along with us for the specialty vet to tell he what to do. We are hoping, paws crossed, that with the normal blood work they will let us cut back on his steroids. At the moment he takes two in the morning and one at night, plus Pepcid A/C for his tummy.
Beautiful kitties. The cheese kitties are the same color as my Garfield. So wonderful you can help these kitties. Congrats on your award. Purrs and hugs for socks.
I should have known you would be involved, Brian. I would so love to do this myself, but extenuating circumstances are in play. They could change, though.
Your dad is pawesome for doing that! And concatenations too! Me-Ommmmm
Brian, you don’t look too happy to be under the bag. Cats are supposed to be inside bags, not underneath bags!
We love transports, and we were especially touched at the dedication of this transport to Dash. The Dash Memorial Rescue Run is a fitting tribute to a great cat.
That was so nice of you to do the transport. You have such a huge heart!
You are AWESOME, Brian! All those kitties are so happy you were there to help out. And I’m sure Frankie was singing so loudly because he was so glad his gender was sorted out! 😀
Those were some super cute kitties in your transport, and it was very thoughtful to dedicate it to Dash and Mom Marjorie. Also, concats on your awards. Always well-deserved! Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
I saw the photo this weekend, that was so nice and such a nice idea!
Thank you, too, for helping the kitties =^.^=
Purrs
What a great way to spend the weekend! We’re happy to know wonderful people who do so much for the less fortunate kitties.
What a great way to honor Dash! Good for your dad in pawticipating! And congrats on all those cool awards.
All very lucky kitties to be on the transport, and in memory of Dash – that’s sweet.
That is the very best kind of memorial ever–saving FOUR kitties! The cheesehead kitties are adorable!
And Frankie too–tell him it happens. The Human just read that the sweet panda cub Mei Lan born in Atlanta five or six years ago was sexed as a girl by the zoo–it wasn’t until she moved to China at age 3 or 4 and they started to think about breeding her that they discovered, Oops! Boy panda!
Well done to your dad for taking those cuties to their new home Brian!
Look at those little faces, when we first got our cat Dylan, we also had a ginger cat Linus, who went to the bridge when he was 10. He was a feral kitten and at first Mum’s hands and arms were scratched to ribbons with his claws but gradually, he grew to love her and used to lay in her arms like a baby.
That was a lovely thing to do, to dedicate your journey to Dash.
Dip Bridge Elliot and Lynne x
Thats a wonderful tribute Brian, congrats on the awards too,xx Speedy
