Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it! Honestly my friends, I’m not having a fun time at all.  I sure hope this crazy thing that is bugging me goes away soon.  My sisters are all getting irritated with me because I’ve been hogging the litter boxes.  I sure do appreciate all the purrs, prayers and well wishes, I really, really do.  I really want to get better because I’ve got lots to do.

Sorry for the short post today, but we’re all pretty busy around here, me in the litter box and Dad and Mom following me around.  Love and hugs to you all.

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Oh Brian, we so hope you will feel better really soon. Just have to hope that increasing the medicine will help. We sure are sending many many purrs that y0u will feel better soon. Take care.

  2. Whisppy

Oh Brian. We were so hoping the awful UTI would have been gone by now. After my blockage, I was put on valium as well as a muscle relaxant. It did make a difference. Maybe you could ask your vet about it?
We’ll keep the purrs and purrayers your way!

    Your pal, Cosmo

  3. Fuzzy Tales

We’re purring like mad for you, Brian. Your bout is being very stubborn…We hope you’re back to 100% very, very soon.

    (((Hugs))) and kitty kisses.

Oh Brian, we are so sorry to hear this. You have to get better for real this time ok?! It’s no fun making your sisters upset. Feel better!

Mom here: I’ve been reading Brian’s updates. By no means am I a vet, but you mentioned crystals in your post down below – have they tested for the crystals specially? There are two types – calcium and struvite. If it’s crystals, it may be appropriate to put Brian on a prescription diet for the urinary tract like Hill’s Prescription c/d (which Carmine eats) or Royal Canin s/o.

Just my two cents – it might be worth asking the vet about moving forward.

When Carmine was first diagnosed, he had a very hard time urinating. Brian’s behavior sounds a lot like Carmine’s when he was diagnosed.

The c/d food seems to be pretty tasty – everyone here eats it so thee’s no chance of Carmine eating anything else. Carmine also had anti-inflammatory dugs to help him urinate better while the c/d got into his system and disolved the crystals.

Carmine is here, and he’s sending lots of purrs Brian’s way. He knows just how awful that feeling is, and we all hope Brian feels better soon!!

If you want to chat, you can always e-mail us.

    Purrs and hugs,
    Sierra, Carmine, Milita, and Jewel

We are still purring hard for you. I know you are doing this because the woman has been so lax about visiting and this brings her here, but really, I’m making her read even if she doesn’t comment…

We’re thinking a lot about you, buddy, and will continue to send purrs. Don’t worry about hogging the boxes. Your sisters understand, even if it doesn’t seem like it at the moment. PURRS….

  12. Angel Tom, Tinker & Chopin

Hey, Bri–tell the ladies to chill. Us guys know what it’s like to need our space..especially in the litter box.

Hope you’re getting better. It takes awhile and bingo! All better. And, what’s more, mom and dad get peace of mind, too.

Angel Tom, Tinker, Chopin and cousin Mitty

  13. Sammy

Brian I’m so sorry you’re still having to spend so much time WAITING in that litter box for “results” ! Has to be awful…..and uncomfortable…..and frustrating. I had hoped the vet could wave his magic wand and fix it. Good vets sometimes have amazing tricks up their sleeves. Hang in there buddy – hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. You know we’re all sending purrrayers that it is…….

    Kitty Hugs, Sammy

My cousin Bowie is not feeling well either. He is using his litter box but he hasn’t been eating much and has been hiding in Gramma’s closet. Hope he will be feeling better soon too. It is no fun when kitties are sick.

  15. Kitties Blue

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear you are not feeling better, Brian. I’m glad they are ruling out some bad things, but I hope the vet can help get you back to your old self soon! Will be thinking of you, and sending out healing thoughts…..

  19. Sherri-Ellen T-D.

Oh sweet boy you look like you are in discomfort in your photo…Nylablue looks the same today also…you both don’t deserve to be unwell!!! Still saying ‘purrayers’ for you & hoping you will recover soon.

  20. Rumbles

We’re purring for you, my friend. I know all those bootiful sisters of yours will be looking after you, and your humans will be too. Add our purrs to the many that you’re getting and let them boost you to health!!

  21. Everycat

Brian I am still sending bladder soothing, rumbly purrs to you and the Ape sends love. Tell those sisters from me to put their little nurse uniforms on and to look after you please. Pee issues are just horrid and we know your family and the vets will do all they can to help you.

    Luff and rumbles from
    Mungo & The Ape xx

Hope your vet can figure this out. We went to 3 vets before someone was able to help Yoko! Not all vets are the same – some just have a better sense of what is going on and are better at diagnosing or are more intuitive. Sending our purrs for a solution.

  23. Bellen

I popped in after not checking blogs over the weekend and see that you are still battling sickness, Brian. I’m sorry to read that; a prolonged illness is very wearying, aside from the problems that come from being sick. I hope you are feeling better soon.

  24. Sushi

Hi brian. How are you feeling today? Please, please, please get well soon. Sending lotsa purrs for quick recovery. I miss you, buddy. I miss you at cat scout too. Please get well soon. (((Hugs)))

  25. deb

I’m so sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well. 🙁 Our Gatsby, he’s a Yorkie, had a bladder infection, and went through all sorts of tests, and two rounds of antibiotics before he felt better. It can take a while sometimes. I hope you get to feeling better very soon!

  26. Maxwell, Faraday & Allie

Many healing purrs sent your way from all of us! (Pee Ess, thank you so much for your patience as our mo works on deadline again. We know we’ve been scarce lately but she’s managing to carve out a bit more time for us now!)

  27. meowmeowmans

Brian, we are so sorry you all haven’t figured out how to kick this thing to the curb yet. We love you, buddy, and think of you all the time. And we’re purring, praying and sending healing energy, too. Hugs!

  28. Marks Mews

Brian, you just hog the litter boxes all you need to! And take yer time in them. The sisfurs better unnerstand. Besides, yer Beins can just set up a couple more litter boxes ta fix the traffic problems, right?
