Okay, here is the scoop. I had my xrays and there are no obvious stones. There is no blockage. There were no immediately detectable crystals but they were able to get a urine sample and we will get the full results tomorrow. I will be headed home shortly. Dad will give me some fluids to ease things for me + my meds.. Please keep those purrs and prayers coming.
Thank you for all of the kind messages and badges too. I appreciate all of you!
I hope the results are good, Brian. We will be waiting with baited (tuna) breath for more information!
Wait … if I bait my breath, MomKatt says I can’t purr for you so I’m going to forget the breath thing & just purr. 😉

Purring!
Thank the gods and the Universe there’s no blockage. That, at least, is good news. Continued purrs and purrayers. We bet you will be SO happy to be home. Fingers crossed for the urine analysis. BTW, there CAN be some in-house contamination in the UAs. Both Annie and Derry supposedly had coccidia in their urine at different points, tested in-house, but when I had a culture and sensitivity test done (pricey, they send a sample out to a lab to grow any bacteria over the course of a few days), there was nothing. So in-house results (any results, presumably) are… Read more »
P.S. I’ve had awesome luck with UTI-Free for Derry’s cystitis. Excellent product, extremely well-reviewed. Sold via PetAlive.com, and I’ve seen it on Amazon.com too, probably other sites carry it.

Sending Purrs and Prayers your way Brian. Our hearts always ache for our babies when they are sick.
We have been keeping track of your pee problems, Brian, cuz our Brighton suffers from FIC (Feline Interstitial Cystitis) although he has been ‘free-flowin’ since his one severe blockage in June 2010. He is on a couple of nutriceuticals and mostly canned food with an Rx dry food as a treat. We also have a water fountain and a Sink Drink to increase his water consumption. If your vet finds no crystals and no bacteria, be sure to ask him about FIC. We hope you are feline fine soon!
Thinking of you and sending you lots of purrs and positive thoughts, Brian. Hang in there and feel better soon, Brian. We’ll keep the purrs coming ’til your good and mended.
