Sorry we have not been around to visit you and we likely won’t be visiting too much until our house full of sickies gets better and Gracie gets home. Dad has been reading your blogs so we know what is happening. We were so sad to see that dear Tillie left for the Rainbow Bridge.

Now about Gracie. Dad just talked to the Emergency Vet a few minutes ago. Gracie’s respiration rate has improved a good bit but she has still had a couple of coughing and gagging episodes. They have decreased the frequency of broncodialators to once every 8 hours and have given her oral antibiotics. They are trying to get her to eat some wet food but so far she has just licked around at it. It has been several days since she had a good meal so they are going to give her an appetite stimulant and some fluids so she won’t dehydrate. She is not better enough to come home today so we will reassess tomorrow.

Other updates: Brian is sneezing and on antibiotics, Sascha is still sneezing and on antibiotics, Dolly has started sneezing so she is now on antibiotic, Precious is sneezing and has a temperature so she is on antibiotics and NSAIDs to help with the fever/achey stuff. So far Zoe and Kit are okay. Dad and Mom are pooped.

Dad will call a couple of times this evening to check on Gracie so we might post an update tonight. If we don’t post that means that things are pretty much the same. Please keep the purrs and prayers coming our way. Thanks dear friends.

    Your pal,

Holy cod in all the heavens! Thank you for the updates. We have been worried & with all the sneezing and coughing kitties over there we wonder is the same thing they call caught from something? Oh we hope not and we hope you are all on the mend soon. Your mum & dad must be ragged with worry.

Oh I know so well what you are going through. It has happened twice here with about nine or ten of the cats. So we sure send tons of purrs and prayers that everyone feel better really soon. Orange Boyzo had that horrible cough too and had to stay at the vets for four days. Crossing our paws that every one recovers really soon. Take care.

  4. Whisppy

Thank you for the update on Gracie. We’re glad she’s doing a little better. We’re sorry Sister Dolly has now gotten the sneezies. We know exactly what it’s like so we’re sending lots and lots of healing purrs to your home. Do try to cooperate with your Dad and Mom when they need to pop pills into your mouths. They just want you to all get better!

  5. Sass and Lou

Lou and I send pawhugs and human hugs to the kitties, as well as to the MomStaff and DadStaff of the Frum household. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, as well. Here’s hoping that everyone gets better and gets some rest. Namaste. 🙂

I am so sorry. I can only imagine how difficult this is, and no wonder you are pooped. Will keep sending lots of purrs and I hope that every kitty gets well quickly!

This is just overwhelming for everyone. WE are sending super duper purrs for little Gracie and hope that she can come home sooner rather than later. ((gracie we are sending lots of hugs to you)) We also hope that the sniffling will subside quickly. Poor Brian has been through so much too. As had Mom and Dad, we know you must be exhausted.

Thank you so much for the updates.

Zoe and Kit – you guys have to stay well… And you need to help mom and dad take care of everyone and give them extra loving.. They need it. I wish I could give them both big hugs but since I can’t can you please do it for me?

Marc, Lucy and I (and of course) Angel Alex are sending lots of love and purrs to all the Frum’s especially that Gracie. I know that she is not alone in the hospital. Her husband Alex is right at her side looking after her, keeping her company and making sure none of the doctors don’t hurt her. And if they do, they’ll have to answer to him!!!

We love you so much… and you are all in our thoughts…

*sigh* this just doesn’t sound like fun at all… thanks for the updates. I wonder what the vets think this is? I guess you said a viral thing maybe?

  17. Clooney

Oh my goodness, you have so much going on at your house, that is so stressful. Ok, we are revving up our purr machines and sending huge purrs and prayers Gracie’s way for her health and for her breathing and appetite to improve and for her to be home again with you shortly. 20. emma

What a mess! I sure hope you all get better soon…it is the holiday season and I’m sure you are needed at home in top shape to play with all the decorations!

  21. Bev Green

Oh no that’s just awful..its a hard slog when they are all unwell..for must be the season there for these things…have you tried on a seasonal basis to give the Lysine..perhaps talk to the vet, it’s a great preventative for some bugs..our kitties and pups are given it when they go into boarding (which is rarely) to counter stress..we did this in the shelter too..i wonder if with Brian being so unwell the others have been stressed about it to the point of their immune systems playing up..amazing how they can appear fine, typical animal though it’s hardwired in their system to not show health issues. We all down under send our love to the whole family and hope you get some rest and some answers soon..hugs Fozziemum xx
