I must admit, I am NOT thankful for being sick, never ever. But I always do try to look on the bright side of things, so does that work even when you’re sick? Yes, it does, if you’ll let it.
This time when I was sick for so long, a few good things did happen. I got to try some different foods, you know, the “healthier” kind, where they usually put the health in and take the flavor out. But this time the flavor stayed in and I liked what I got to try. And then there’s the treat issue. When it came to treats I could take them or leave them, mostly take them. All treats are not healthy. Well, okay, most treats are not healthy, but we discovered freeze dried treats thanks to some suggestions from you. Now we are all enjoying our “healthy” treats.
So today, I’m thankful for the lessons learned from being sick. Healthy doesn’t always have to taste bad!!!

Glad you found some healthy foods that also taste good. We haven’t found very many that we like. But we do like those freeze dried treats. They are yummy. Glad you are still doing well Brian. You all have a great day.
MY mom tried We**ness brand grain free and I did NOT like it even a little bit. She also bought their wet. I ate 1 can fairly well and refused any others. She took the We**ness back (dry) and got Scien*e Diet grain free and I am eating a little each day. I am still having my regular canned food but at least not grainy dry as well. Oh buddy, I sure do hope you are all better now, but I’m still purring for you just in case. M’s been trying healthy foods on me off and on for a long time – I really don’t care for them. That’s not to say that what I eat is unhealthy, cuz it isn’t but M always thinks I could eat better than I do. I much prefer my current food – but I sure don’t get enough of it.

Healthy and tasty don’t usually mean the same thing but if you found a treat that’s both you are lucky.

Some of those special cat foods are pretty tasty, or so I hear. That Royal Canin S/O was always a popular one with the kitties. And glad you found some nice treats that are healthy!
I wish I could find a healthy food the boys would like! They get two brands for the most part, one cr*p, one a bit better–both grain-free, though. I’m glad you’ve found a better food that you actually like, Brian!

The mom gaves me Simply Nourish Tuna and Potato when I waz sicks and it tasted reel goods – Dey haz dats at PetsMart and Simply Nourish gots other yummy flavors too.
My favorite treats are the freeze-dried kind! In fact, when I am being extra picky and hate all the food my human presents me, sometimes, she’ll just set down a bowl of freeze-dried chicken for me until I get my normal appetite back later that day or the next.
YAY! We’re so happy you found some yummy healthy food, Brian. We love our Freeze Dried treats so much and Mommy has to order it from the US because they can’t be found here. They recently brought in Primal and that is really healthy yummy in a bag!

Max is very picky about treats. He and Angel like Crispies and Party Mix because they are tiny pieces. Kirby likes any thing he can gulp down~

To me, healthy equals terrible. I don’t like freeze dried for nothing and I don’t like grain free. Go figure. Now I’m off my grain free Soulistic with the pumpkin soup that supplied my liquids so TW is going bat-[censored]. I’m glad you’re feeling better cos you’re still one handsome dude.

We agree that “healthy” can also taste good, Brian! In fact, just last week TBT found Wellness stinky goodness in both chunks an slices of both chicken an turkey an we have been pushin the emptied bowls around lookin fer more.

I am glad you are eating the fuudz that will help you stay well, Buddy! I myself have never been much of a treat-eater….well, except the Gerber’s which is in a class by itself!
It’s no fun being sick at all – but it does give us a good perspective on things!
