A Quick Health Update #477

30 Comments on A Quick Health Update #477

Well, not really 477, but it sure seems like it from here.  Sister Zoe went to the Vet today. Yep, a scratch on her eye, maybe both eyes.  The good news is that I didn’t do it, or at least I don’t think I did.  Sister Zoe takes some medicine to control her itchies and her regular meds have been on manufacturer backorder, so we’ve been using a substitute.  It just didn’t work so good  and she has started licking and scratching herself silly.  She may have scratched her own eye.  So, she has so eye drops and she got a shot to help with her itchies…and another med for us to try when the shot wears off.

Gracie seems to sound some better with her breathing and she is getting antihistamines just in case.  Me n’ the Pee?  I’ll have to let you know on that one, some better though.  I think we may have gotten out in front of this one.

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Aw, poor Zoe. Yes, it sounds as though she scratched herself, poor thing. It’s good she went to the vet to get medicine that will hopefully nip those itchies in the bud. I’m so glad that you were able prevent any worse problems with the pee problem and that Gracie’s breathing is sounding better. Thanks for the update and I hope everything continues to get even better.

Ouch to the eyelids. Cassie does that too, chews the crap out of her paws. Steriod shot is all that works, sadly.

Poor Sister Zoe…hope she makes a quick recovery. Glad you think you’ve caught your UTI early this time, Brian, and that Gracie continues to improve; though, it sounds slowly. You all are still a part of our purr-a-thon. If you get the opportunity to drop by, we left you an award on our Thankful Thursday post. MEOWY CATMESS! MOL, HO, HO, HO! Poor Zoe! Are you using a different medication entirely for her itchies while you wait for her backordered meds? If so, is there any chance you can get a compounding pharmacy to make her meds until the actual medication comes is back in supply?

We’re purring that this is the last of the cooties for all of you, and that you are back to feeling better for the new year.
