Gracie’s Mom visited her this afternoon and Gracie was not too interested in eating. I went to visit her this evening and I feed her by hand, more like by finger. I stuck my finger in the wet food and then opened her mouth and put the food in. She was very, very good and ate 1/4 of a 3 oz can, which is the normal amount she usually eats at meal time. So, I was pleased and she seemed pleased. She is still very snotty and, like Miss Precious, when she bend over to eat…well, you get the picture. She gave me quite a few head butts, a purr or two, and a couple of mews. She seems confused by the whole ordeal. It is a very busy place and it sure doesn’t have the quiet of home.
Keep those purrs and prayers coming, I know she can feel the love, we all do.
Terry
she only eats when her daddy is around? come on gracie, nom sweetie nom!
Purrs and prayers on the way, from our house to yours!
Poor little Gracie, missing her quiet home. I hope she’ll be there soon – sounds like she’s mending. I bet that being congested, she can’t smell her food so she is not as interested in it. I believe that happens with humans too.
Purrs and PURRS!!! Would she have an easier time eating with her front legs (and food) propped up on a box so her poor nose doesn’t get all stuffed up?
Hi Terry & Brian & company! I am relieved that Gracie ate when you went to see her….this has been quitte a day for us ‘cat’ people! Nylablue was a bit of a wildcat during her appointment…..let’s keep praying for our KITTEHZ…..they sure are troopers aren’t they???
Come on Gracie you can beat this pneumonia!!!!
Love from Sherri-Ellen & (poopin) Nylablue (see FB update) š

I guess Daddy has the magic touch, eh? There’s nothing like a beloved Human willing to hand feed the kitty! It probably *does* help her not to have to bend over much to get her noms! We are still madly purring and purraying for your Gracie and Brian and Precious and all the kitties. Sending them all lots of love–and Mom and Dad too. XOXOXO
Sending purrs and lots of love your way!!!

Getting a little spoiled there, sweet girl! Being finger fed by your daddy. Sweet!
More prayers for Gracie’s lungs to continue to clear and her appetite to come back. Do they have her on an IV for addional nurishment? We had that with one of our dogs but I don’t know if all little furry ones would tolerate it. Just a thought.
Love,
Lily, WA, USA along with our Gracie, too.
Wishing you continued progress Gracie.
Please get well.

We heard Gracie wasn’t feeling so well. We just dropped by to send some positive healing energy down your way. Hopefully she recovers soon.
Sorry I bothered you with an email. So glad you got Gracie to eat something. That is how I got Splitters to eat, by using my finger to put it in her mouth and she actually started eating on her own so hopefully Gracie will. Wonder if you could just take her home for a little while but they probably have her on steady fluids. Sending many more purrs.
What good news about Gracie eating her normal portion⦠She is so lucky to have such wonderful parents⦠I am sure that she is so scared⦠but having her mom and dad around to take such good care of her – she is one lucky girl. The purrs and prayers continue for you all⦠Sending lots of love!
Gracie, that’s it, keep on eating and you will soon be home where you can have some peace and quiet. Me and The Ape are sending you and your whole family some more purrs and love. This is a rough old trot for you all to have to go through.
Loved hearing this more positive news. Yay for the progress.
Bless her precious heart! We are purraying so very hard for sweet Gracie! I am sure the vet is doing everything they can to make her better. Do you know if they have tried the nebulizer box on her? I used to use it on the shelter fosters who would come to me so very sickly. Just an idea… Get well soon, precious Gracie!
Thanks so much for stopping by to wish Maggie May well for her appointment today. We hope to post a happy update this afternoon.
Eating is always a good sign. If she is noming as much as she normally does only slower we are happy along with you.

Better news each day about our Sweet Gracie. We know how it feels when we are congested, so it has to be harder for her. So glad you had the chance to visit her and feed her. She missed her Dad!! Continued visits from both parents will give her a feeling of security and calmness. We sure hope Dear Precious does better too! You have both been through a difficult ordeal with all your babies ill at the same time. I pray it will all be over soon and all are well. Continue to Pray as we will do the… Read more »

I’m glad she ate for the dad. We’re still purring for her (and all of you).
There you go! It took good ol’ Dad to get Gracie to eat because he knows how to do it. The extra bit of flavor from your finger makes all the difference. I know she is still very sick, but it sure sounds like Gracie is making some good progress. And yes, I can picture the ribbons of snot dripping from Gracie’s and Precious’ noses. Domino may not be sick, but she drools when she’s purring and it looks like the same thing. Wet, wet, wet! We’re still purring full strength here for all of your sick little ones. What… Read more »
