Hello everyone, Dad Terry with another update. Gracie had a good day. Although she said no and would not tolerate the nebulizer, the new antihistamine and appetite stimulant seemed to help. Gracie ask them to hold the plate up for her so she wouldn’t have to bend over to eat. They did, and she did eat on her own, and a good bit too! Some of her snootyness seems to be clearing up too.

I just got back from the hospital a bit ago and she told me know to feeding her with my finger, she just wanted be to hold the plate up for her. She ate a good bit and I was really proud of her. She also did a big pee while I was there. That little Gracie had a lot to say tonight, she was talking up a storm and purring and head butting me. She is still in the oxygen cage but she wanted to crawl out through the little portal door. Gracie spend a good bit of time out of the oxygen cage today and seemed to tolerate it pretty darn good. But since she spent the time out today her Dr. eanted her back in oxygen for the night.

Brian is still a bit snotty and so is Precious. I have them both on a new antihistamine and hopefully they will be improving soon. It sure is taking a long time to kick this bug in the butt so keep sending those purrs, woofs and prayers.

Thanks for all your concern and love!

Yay, this is such good news! We are pulling and purring for Gracie, Brian and Precious.

When The Girl was little she had a lot of trouble with asthma and this brings back the days when they traveled, and the mom had to carry her nebulizer then look for places to plug it in.

  3. Andrea

Thank goodness she is doing a little better. Keep going Gracie!!

Just wanted to let you know that you were nominated for blog of the year. I’ll be sure to tuck some extra mousies in the gift basket if you win 😀

Go Gracie, Go! You are doing GREAT,Sweetheart, keep it up and you will soon be home. We are sending White Dog healing energies to speed your recovery and to help every one back home get over the stuffies. 7. Spitty the Kitty

This is really great news to hear right before bedtime! So happy about Gracie and also glad Brian and Precious are coming along. Wow–Gracie will really have some war stories to share with her fur sibs when she gets home. Also–kudos to her vet(s) who did NOT give up on her!!! Not to mention Mom & Dad XOXOXOX

  8. Sparkle

That is great news about Gracie! It sounds like she is doing so much better! Purrs and paws crossed that Brian and Precious do better with the new meds.

  9. Katie Kat

Well that’s furry good mewz and we will keep purring fur even better mewz! Used to have a kitty with asthma and he was on albuterol. Btw, I have never seen a kitty that poses like Brian does in the cat tree photo. And he just has that look of a private detective with that hat on. He’s definitely the kitty man of the house!

Was wondering what kind of antihistamine you were using. I meant to ask our vet about antihistamine usage with kitties this afternoon, since some of the kits here are having the sniffles too. Took Laura Belle to the vet this afternoon and since she didn’t have any signs of infection and was very energetic, the doc didn’t prescribe any antibiotics… think we might be having a kitty cold going around cause Lil Bear is sneezing now and Lulu has some trouble breathing as well.

And then there is also Max who is still having some kind of dermatitis issue – with him could be food and the mean old fleas since its time for the next round of flea drops.

Any info about antihistamines would be really good to know fur the kitties here too.

Purrz and lots and lots of prayerz fur your kitty gang,
    -Katie Kat.
