Happy Gotcha Day to Me!

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
Most of you know by now that I was rescued as a wee one from a Christmas tree farm. Then I lived at PetSmart under the care of Kitten Action Team for eight whole months. I didn’t think I was every going to ever get my forever home. Oh, I was adopted once, but they treated me mean and the ladies at Kitten Action Team came and took me back.

I recently told you that when I was first adopted, at my new and permanent forever home, I had a wonderful brother named Ivan.  He welcomed me in the first minutes of my arrival and no other break-in period was needed. My brother Ivan had just lost his brother Moses and it was important that we hit it off…and boy did we ever! We then adopted Sister Sascha. Then my brother Ivan went across the Rainbow Bridge unexpectedly just days before Thanksgiving, and I miss him each and every day. We then adopted sisters Gracie and Zoe, and not too long ago we adopted sister Dolly, and then sister Precious joined our family.  Then we adopted the wonderful Sister Kit when our Grandma left for Heaven.  I have the most wonderful family ever!!!

Gotcha Days are just the best and we will keep working to help more kitties and doggies have them too.  We’re going to have a little private celebration tonight for my Gotcha Day, but most importantly, I am still so very happy that this one was it!

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

p.s. I am doing a little better.  We might have gotten out in front of it and whapped it this time.

SUPER HAPPY GOTCHA DAY Brian……it’s a wonderful day to celebrate. So many of us have been lucky in finding a perfect forever home and I know we all wish EVERYONE could know the joy and security and love that we’ve found with our families. I hope you have a super special day – I know your family loves you as much as you love them and I also am happy to hear you think you whapped “the bad bug” early on this time so the UTI doesn’t get you again!!! WOO HOO!!

    Holiday and Gotcha Hugs, Sammy

  2. Fuzzy Tales

Happy Gotcha Day, Brian! We hope you have a wonderful day, and that your bout of cystitis was caught early. Any time that Derry makes a small pee clump, our human goes into panic mode and starts syringing in the UTI-Free (dissolved in a few drops of water). Seems to do the trick for him, but we know every cat is different!

Purrs to Zoe too, we read the update on her eye. And of course continued purrs to Gracie…to you all.

  3. Jobi and Fisher

Happy Gotcha Day, Brian. You picked a great time of year and a wonderful family. You know, when the homesteaded kitties are so wonderful, it encourages the peeps to adopt more cats. You deserve a crown!

We hope you get lots of delicious noms and toys. MEOWY CATMESS! MOL, HO, HO, HO! Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Do you know what? I didn’t know ANY of that stuff! So neat to hear about it now.

You have a lot of Christmas connections, huh? Your gotcha day is just a few days before Christmas. You were originally rescued from a Christmas tree farm. Hmmm… how close are you to the big guy in red, himself? Do you happen to know his private line?

I’m just gettin’ around to lettin’ cats know about their awards now. You beat me to it! So do hope you like yours.

Happy Got-Cha day my dear furend.
It always warms my heart to hear about how another poor lost kitty found their forever home. I was lucky enough to have a wise old fellow to help me learn how to act with Dad and live in a real home. With his help I went from Hissy to cuddle in a few days.
    Bless my Angel Inky

Happy Gotcha Day to you, Brian.

I didn’t know that story about your first adoption going bad. That just goes to show how important it is to follow-up on an adoptive home. Not everybody is cut out to be a cat parent. I’m glad that you finally found the perfect home!

We do not “remember” yer esperiences cuz we are “newish”, but TBT does. He reminded us of your tale while we sat on and around his lap tonight. We have read it, of course. But we are so impressed again. We are SO glad you were one of the lucky kitties.

And let us say that “some kitties” are best positioned in life to discuss such things. You are one of those kitties… You do it so well.

MARLEY here: Brian, Ayla and Iza were originally destined to be Queens for further breeding. But they were both “failures” in that regard. That’s why they are here. Ayla was too small to be a breeding queen; Iza was colored wrong. So they ended up here after TBT contacted the breeder and said to send him any that “didn’t meet your standards”. And they have been quite fortunate too. They KNOW they have been lucky.

The sisters don’t really know much about my earliest days (I just showed up one day), so don’t tell them bout this. *I* was truly a rescue, but 2nd hand.

I was rescued from a shelter where I was near to the end of my stay. I was bought as a gift for a VERY NICE LADY, but she was allergic to cats. She was gonna sell me to a fambly with a lot of tail-grabby sticky-kids. But TBT found me an brought me here after convincin the VERY NICE LADY that I would be happier here. I remember her with great fondness. But this is where I was meant to be. And I know how lucky I am ta be here.

We aren’t “technically” direct-rescues, but we all came close enough that Ayla an Iza have at least a slightest idea of what it can be like closed away inna room “to be kept away and moved out” so the new kittens would be safe. I myself was inna small shelter cage fer at least a week before adopted. Sometimes good things happen to kitties.

Keep up the good werk our friend…

Oh Brian, Gotcha stories make us leaky! We are so happy your family is all together and warm and well-fed and well-cared-for (to say the least!!!) and safe. We hope you all have the happiest Christmas ever! XOXOXO
