Hello friends! I’m coming to you today from way up high on Mount Dolly, the highest perch on the tallest cat tree we’ve got. I like spending time up here since I can see everything that’s going on, inside and out. You see, for Christmas, the Christmas Tree was placed in the corner of the living room usually occupied by this cat tree. So, the cat tree got moved to the entry hallway where the green bench usually sits. I can see out the front windows from here and it is a totally different view of what we usually have. I’ve requested that this tree stay here, but that request just got a few giggles from Dad and Mom.
Oh, from the way I’m laying, you can’t see it, but I have a wee bit of a bald spot on my lower back. Yep, three words cover that…mats, Dad and clippers. That Dad of mine is pretty quick with those clipper things. Actually I was very cooperative and just laid there and let him buzz me down. It sure feels better without those darn mats pulling at my skin. But I do know how to pose so it doesn’t show, don’t I??? Sometimes being a kitty with long furs can be a pain, but generally I like my furs.
Okay, that’s a wrap for me, I’ve got some serious snoozing to do. Have a happy Saturday everyone. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Its good ta have a diffrent view from the cat trees once in a while. TBT is thinking of changing things around here too.
Mats must be a real pain, Dolly! My body fur is mostly not long enough to get them (my pantaloons and tail are where all my fluff are), but Boodie has had a few. My human has been able to comb them out, though – she is lucky! I don’t think she’d like clippers near her.
I feel your pain Dolly. My hair is growing so long that it gets super tangly! And it’s hard to brush. I need a haircut too.
That’s one super “spy spot” you’ve got at the top of the tower! I don’t have long furs like you do but I’m sure it does feel better when the clumps are gone…..you’re so beautiful a few bald spots won’t even be noticed!!!!
Holiday Hugs, Sammy
Have a super Saturday on Mount Dolly sweet one.
Best wishes Molly
Hi there Dolly, glad you have a new TV station looking out those windows. Hope those darn mats don’t come back. Hope all of you have a great week end and stay dry.
I love your beautiful fur! Too bad about the mats though. I guess it comes with the territory. Happy Saturday kitties!
xo Catherine
what a great spot!
enjoy sweet girl!
Sorry to hear you have had matts Dolly – (Hannah whispers I get a few sometimes but mainly because I’ve rubbed against something sticky outside) . Mum keeps a tiny pair of scissors in a drawer where she sits and has a little snip sometimes when I’m snoozing and she thinks I don’t know. As if!!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
That’s a really nice photo, Dolly, and we can’t tell there ever was a mat there!
Purrs,
The Chans
We think you hide those spots well with all of your floofy. We’re lucky, none of us has had to have mats removed by clippers.

Mount Dolly…love it! We are lucky we don’t get mats because our furs are very silky.
You’re looking mighty comfy up there, Sister Dolly. Newton gets armpit mats and has to get manscaped at the vet, so we sympathize.
Yes, dogs love the high place too.
Well, on the positive side, your dad got all the uncomfortable matting fur, right?
Oops… We almost forgot to greet you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year…
May you have a wonderful Christmas and a scare-free New Year.
It’s fun to look at the world from a different view. Have fun on Mount Dolly. We hope you at least got some extra ear skritches for putting up with grooming. The only kitty in this house with long fur is Andy. He hates having his fur groomed by Mom. He meows like he is getting killed the whole time, even when Mom isn’t touching him. Mom gives him ear skritches and tells him how handsome he is to make up for it. You are a very beautiful cat so the grooming was worth it. Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and… Read more »
Mom doesn’t want anyone to think that she harms me/stresses me out. I am much happier when my fur is groomed and I look fluffy and handsome. When we are done I give Mom lots of head butts and kitty kisses and I snuggle with her. I only like it when my sister’s groom my fur. Love Andy
Sister Dolly, we are on your side, we say the cat tree should stay to give you a better view! Don’t worry about the bald spot, your Dad meant well. It will grow back in no time! xoox
Poor Admiral had mats and mommy had to cut them out or take her to the v-e-t for buzzing. You look bewteefuls, Sister Dolly.
haha won’t let you keep the new view? How rude, good job hiding the bald spot too
Happy Caturday Dolly! Enjoy the change of scenery while you can and have a great day! Purrs from the Zee and Zoey Gang!
Sister Dolly you look so lovely way up high in from your new view of the tallest cat tree. We are sorry for the matting. But your Dad did what he could to make you more comfortable. Still we think your fur looks gorgeous from any angle.
You still look gorgeous to me Dolly,xx Speedy
Great Spot Dolly and so glad to see you! I have that problem too but no spot…I have all over. Mum say it grow back…I wish it will cause I not like. Tell everyone hello for Miss Kitty and Mum. Hope you have a nice Saturday. Purrs…
It helps to have a super floofy tail. 🙂 Mommy is so relieved none of us are long furred. Heehee.
Being up high is a lot of fun!
That looks like a great place to keep an eye on what’s happening, Dolly! Too bad about the mats, but it happens.
Me too can watch out from where my cattree is and it’s pawsome !
Keep my paws crossed that your humans doesn’t move it !
XOXO
mol Dolly you have so much beautiful fluffy furs you’ll never miss a little bit!
Hugs Madi your bfff
My kitty sis Sophie has long hair and the occasional mat in her fur. Mom has to cut them out too but they are usually on her belly or under her legs so it isn’t so obvious.
Hiya Sister Dolly, long time no see. There is no reason to be ashamed of your furs, they are beauteous indeed 🙂 I think I missed Brother Brian’s Gotcha day 🙁 I am very ashamed. I hope he had a lovely day and also that you all had a great Christmas 🙂 love Austin xox
We’re fighting the mats lately and giving Mom Paula a hard time removing them.
You look very content up there on your throne. I don’t get fur mats, but I hear they’re very uncomfortable. I have had a run-in with the clipper though. Not pleasant.
You look lovely Dolly and no-one would ever have known you had some mats cut out, but it must feel better now. I am lucky that I have short fur. That looks a very good place to have your cat tree.
The very first thing we thought when we saw your photo, Dolly, is how luxurious your floof looks. You have done an excellent job of strategically placing your bald spot out of the view of the camera and your adoring fans. Have a good snoozy. We are very sorry you cannot have the tree where YOU want it. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Dolly, enjoy your view from up there as long as you can!
Hi Dolly. I’d glad I have short furs. Do you ever get those dingleberry things or don’t you like to mention it in public. I understand.
It sounds like your new cat tree location is awesome, Dolly! Maybe the parents will stop giggling about the idea of keeping it there!
Sorry about the mats… Because Labs have short fur, I have no experience with them but they don’t sound like fun.
Have a lovely Saturday Sister Dolly.
Whew, I sure am glad your cat tree got moved back to the good spot. How dare the humans move it. Sorry bout your mats sweetie – dat must hurt. I have such short furs that doesn’t happen to me.
It’s cool–I got a trimming from Mommy…how do they find those things on us?
xx KonaKitty
Dolly, you must have gotten your name from being such a little doll:) Phantom likes to position himself in a spot where he can everything too, but he doesn’t have a Mount Dolly here.
Woos – Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
I’m glad to hear that your Dad groomed you up nice 🙂 You look super cute in the picture. One little bald spot’s not such a big deal. Enjoy the view from the temporary cat tree position while you can. People are always really picky about the positioning of furniture.
You looks very beyootifull, Sister Dolly, but you know what? I’d like to see that little nekkid spot. I loves soft kitty skin!
