Thankful Thursday: Mixed Emotions on 2013 plus a nice award from Noodle

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it! Hello everyone!  It’s hard to believe, but this is the last Thankful Thursday for 2013.  We just have to wonder where the time goes, it just seems to fly by sometimes, and other times, not so fast.

In truth, 2013 was not overly kind to us, especially in the sickie department.  So we’re sure hoping that 2014 is kinder in that regard.  We’ve battled those evil bugs for what seems like the longest time.

All in all though, we’ve got an incredible amount of things to be thankful for in 2013.  We are thankful for Sister Gracie and her spunk and fight.  She wasn’t supposed to make it when she had pneumonia, but she fought and fought, and we are so thankful for that. We also helped quite a few critters get forever homes this year.  While it is never as many as we would like, we are thankful there are some out there enjoying their new forever homes.

When Gracie first got sick, our sweet friend Noodle gave us the Versatile Blogger Award.

Thank you so much Noodle, we sure appreciate you thinking of us and sharing such a nice award.  We were dealing with Gracie being sick and we totally missed this one.

Most of all though, we’re thankful for all of you, the most amazing friends ever.  You stuck by us in our sickie battles and sent us an army of purrs, woofs and prayers.  Your support and devotion got us through some difficult times.  May of you had difficult times this year too and we understand your pain and your heartbreak.  We love you all so much.

Here’s to 2014, happiness and health for each of you.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Brian we too are hoping 2014 is a nice fresh new beginning. 2013 has not been a smooth one for us as well. We miss our Abby and all the other non cat things that have gone on which made this year very stressful for our Mom. We are purring that all of your family continues to enjoy good health. WE are so thankful for all you do and just for you in general. Thank you for everything you do to help get so many kitties their forever homes.

2013 has been hard on a lot of the kitties in the Cat Blogosphere. But you are right, there are a lot of things to be grateful for too. Gracie is really a miracle cat!

I can remember years in the past that were especially bad….one year we lost a dog to cancer, a cat to a tragic accident, my dad was seriously ill and my mom died later that year. There are just some years we want to get behind us. But there are always good things in there too. Here’s hoping that 2014 is better for everyone! We are also grateful for the wonderful supportive friends we have made through the blog.

We hope you have a better 2014. TW is happy that she met your Dad this year. Now she either has pneumonia or she’s really allergic to our tree this year. We haven’t have one of these in years and that’s prolly the reason why we haven’t. I’m so glad you’re my blogging furrend.
