The roller coaster ride with the weather continues down here in our next of the woods. Yesterday it was around 60F, but the Sunday before it was 6F. Then we had almost 2 inches of rain, thunder boomies and the big flashy box in the sky. There were also a few tornado warnings a bit south of us.
All this wacky weather leaves us with a very impawtant question. What question? So why no window whiffies when it was 60F? Seriously, it was plenty warm wasn’t it? Well, according to the powers-to-be (that would be the window opening humans), it was still too cool for the whiffs. Surely that wasn’t the right answer, but I did ask several times and was greeted with silence. I think I’m going to have to look on Amazon or something and see if they have any automatic window opener things that we could install and operate on our own. Maybe I could find one with a remote control, now that would sure work for us!
I hope y’all are ready for a terrific week, and don’t forget, tomorrow is the Opt-to-Adopt Blog Hop, so share an adoptable pet in your area. Wait until you see the beautiful lady we are sharing. She was pulled from a kill lack-of-shelter (I refuse to call them shelters any more) just in the nick of time. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
We hope for you all an early Spring. That would be nice. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
You guys sure are getting some wacky weather. We hope the tornadoes stay away from you.
Melting at the cuteness of Sister Dolly 🙂 Roll on Spring, our weather is all over the place too 🙂 xxxooxxx

Our windows were firmly shut here too – it was probably about 65 here, and my human is very cold-intolerant. That wouldn’t have been such a big deal, but – there were no sun puddles either! Now, that was something to complain about.
60F and no window whiffies? Right now 60F would be so balmy to us, so we think you ought to have had at least a few minutes of whiffin’!
If you find an automatic opening thingy let me know. I could use that – and an automatic fireplace starter would be great too! thanks… The Lucy
I hope you get perfect window whiffing days soon!
xo Catherine
Goodness me I think 60 which would be 15c here would be very welcomed for whiffies….even by me ..we have the windows closed due to heat so no whiffies for the girls here either….oh dear google I think 🙂 hugs Fozziemum xx
Brian, we know, we are really sick of the weather too. It really wasn’t warm enough for window whiffins. But don’t give up, hopefully it will be warm enough really soon. Hope all of you have a great day.
60F then 6F? Now that’s wacky! Stay safe, Brian.
We were lucky yesterday with sun and again today – it is cold outside today but in the sunny windows it is lovely and warm. Take all the sunshine you can and don’t do a flying visit to the UK as Wednesday is the start of our next rainy season for January – it will be our third batch of many days of wet, windy and cold weather this year!!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
If you find an automatic window opener on the interwebs, please let us all know. The humans always have good excuses not to open the windows here too!
We are sorry the humans wouldn’t open the window for you, Brian. You can always come over here and hang out on our tree near the window. The Mom opens the window a lot – even in winter!! Hers says it gets too hot up here cause all the people’s heat from below rises to our floor.
If there isn’t an automatic window opener, we should get some kitties together and invent one! That sure would be a pawsome idea!!
I’m pretty sure that we would not open the windows here until the temperature got above 60F. Are you sure all the other kitties wanted the window open? 🙂
haha you could make a bundle if you invented and automatic window opener
an automatic window opener would be a super tool, please keep me informed when you found such a thingy. Have agreat start into a new week :o)
This may be a long wacky winter! Happy Rubber Ducky Day!
Oh, yes, the evil cabin fever is getting to us with the major lack of window whiffies.
Oh Brian, 60F is perfect weather for window whiffs! I had some just last evening when temps went down to 64F. It was lovely. You need better window openers!
Happy Monday pal,
Oz
You had thunder boomies and big flashy box in the sky and we had hurricane windies and hale. Me thinks Mother Nature is just a tad upset.

*drats* no whiffs for you today? Well there’s always a chance tomorrow right? We’ve done the same thing as you our weather has been wild and wooly. We’re out back enjoyin our whiffies we hate to say that since you can’t but it’s a bit warmer here. We hope it warms up tomorrow for you so that you too can be out in the open with those whiffs.
Even though our temps got in the upper 60’s it was that blasted wind that kept our windows closed!
We’d be in a cabin fever frenzy without whiffies. How about closing off one room to save heat and opening the window for a few minutes?
We hope the storms are over. We don’t know why your pawrents are not obeying you and opening the windows. You definitely need to get an automatic window opener. Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S)
Morning to one handsome mancat on monday.
Hugs Madi your bfff
Hope you find a sun puddle while you are waiting!
With the cat vs. human ratio at your house, we would expect that y’all would have some say in what happens. Sixty degrees is plenty warm enough for whiffies. Even our mom agrees. She is pretty much of a pushover; though, especially when we gang up on her. The somewhat moderate temperatures are going away again around here and the rain is coming back. Phooey! Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
Wish I could say I feel bad for you……..but………..since I am selfish (MOL)…..we won’t be having any whiffing here until at LEAST APRIL!! MOL MOL MOL!!
Our weather has been pretty wacky lately too. Temps up and down and down and up. But our windows have stayed closed…because it hasn’t warmed up enough. Let’s hope the temps even out one way or the other for all of us!
We are having wacky weather here up in the great white north too!
Window wiffies when it is nice should be every pet pawrent’s #1 priority!
Kisses
Nellie
Brian that is a great photo of you. Very handsome. It finally warmed up some and now we are under a winter weather watch.
You’ve been havin’ wacky weather, TOO? MOUSES! We had super-duper cold temperatures and lots of snow along with ice and then a heavy rainfall warning and then winds so strong that the lights flickered and now most of the snow has melted and… and… AND IT’S JUST PLAIN OL’ WEIRD! Gonna have to do somethin’ about this, I think.
Purrs,
Nissy
Amazon sells most things Brian! 🙂 You do have some weather don’t you!!!! Keep warm xox
We got some 60 degree window whiffs recently, but they didn’t last very long. Peeps need to get some fur or something so they can handle a little cool air.
It is mild here and I can go outdoors in the garden if I want to, but it keeps raining all the time. It was supposed to be quite nice today but we kept having hailstorms so I gave up and went back to the recliner.
Tunnel up here pal. M opened the patio door all of 6 inches for me this afternoon for a whole 5 minutes. I had lots to whiff too. But our temp was only 38 or so. M said that will have to hold me for a few weeks because snow and cold are moving back in.
There are no windows open here in our woods and she almost forgot to refill the bird feeders. We reminder her and she went out in the windy rain. We purred at her later and ignored the birds. We are bad kitties today.
The Purr Gang
omc, what is happening with your weather out there? and no whiffies? horror!
Brian, it was nice and warm here, compared to last week,
but we will not be getting any wiffies either!
Seems Mom agrees with your humans about it still being too cold :/
Those humans need to grow some furs!
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure,JJ
and Angels Tiger and Tillie
We’ve had some wacky weather too! But we can only dream of 60’s!
You should come visit me–it’s 60 or 70 every freaking day. Soon there will be no water, though. It’s ALWAYS something!
That weather sure is silly Brian… if you can’t find an automatic window opener, maybe you can invent one! I’m sure kitties everywhere would be happy 🙂
Looking good, Brian! The only time I’ve gotten an open window lately is when that CO thing went off and all the windows were opened. Of course, I was too scared to go near them.
Come and see us! It’s 28C every day and you can get all the whiffles you like!
We can go out at 60, but TBT wont leave the windows open. If its raining, he WILL leave the deck door open an inch fer about 5 minutes. He says it is too espensive ta heat the outside.
Sounds like the weather is interesting. Hope you are all staying safe!
Dude! Move down here where we are! It’s plenty warm enough for them whiffies!
We had 38 on Sunday and my cats were hanging at the door when it was open, so with 60? You should have had some fresh air coming in 🙂
No open windows around here for a long time. If you find an automatic window opener that we cats can operate would you please tell us where we can get one. We hope we all see warmer and nicer weather very soon. Hugs and nose kisses
That weather does sound wacky!! Don’t worry winter will be over in no time, and Spring will come!
No sign of spring in UK either 🙁 xx
