Thankful Thursday: Monsoons are better than blizzards

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
Okay, who wooda thunk it, I am thankful for rain. Yep, seriously.  We’ve had a fair amount  of rain on and off this week, but it seems like we never know if it is going to be more on or more off.  So why am I thankful for that?  We’ll, actually I am thankful that it is here this week when it is a bit warmer instead of last week when it was a lot colder.  We could really have a bunch of that white stuff if that were the case.

We are also thankful because each day of rain gets us closer to the warmth of Spring. Wait a minute, isn’t Spring a rainy season too?  Hmmmmmm, let’s just hope that silly groundhog isn’t any better at weather guessing than the goofy ones on the television.

Have a fun and thankful Thursday everyone.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

I’m not sure what’s better myself… cold weather here again. They delayed the schools 2 hours tomorrow for some reason. Only 10% chance of precipitation. Silly Texans!

  2. Molly The Wally

We have enough of the endless rain here. We had a few days of sun but now the rain is back again. Well at least it is not snow. Have a tremendous Thursday Brian and stay dry.
    Best wishes Molly

We are also thankful that it has all been rain and not ice or snow. We are enjoying the little bit warmer weather too. Hope all of you have a fantastic day.

We’re kinda hoping for some rain too. We had nice cooler weather until that silly Weatherman said the cooler weather would stay for a while and WHAM! We’ve have super HOT days since. We think our Weatherman might be a groundhog in disguise.

  6. Hannah and Lucy

If anyone would like to take our rain you are welcome but you need to bring your own buckets. The only good thing is that we don’t have to listen to Mum moaning about having to clear the drive of snow to get the car out.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

We’d take rain too, right now. What a miserable blizzard yesterday. Our human says it was her worst trek home (partially on foot, partially by bus) in years, more years than she can remember. 🙁

    Here’s to Spring…wherever she’s hiding.

  8. Marilia

And here we need rain to ease the searing heat of recent times. Last night was 41 º C (105.8 º F). We are being cooked, literally. =(

We are thankful you got the rain and not the snow, it’s not fun driving in this or having that cold white stuff on hooves or paws, as pretty as it is. Brrr. Stay warm and stay dry!

  13. The Poupounette Gang

Well, we certainly have not been short of rain at this end either. Tommy tells us that the fields are just like giant soaked sponges. And today, it was 12C. That’s 53F!!!

I would much prefer rain to snow any day, Brian…except of course when I am out camping in my tent. Then, I want sunshine and nothing else.
    Happy Thursday, pal.

Well, you know, Brian – we all love the rain, and some of us even love the rain. Ciara and Lightning love to sit in the rain, not so much Phantom. And as for Mom, she says she hates the cold and the snow, but at least there isn’t any mud.

    Stay warm and dry.

Woos – Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning

We agree with you. We just missed ice by one degree the other night. We are hoping all the stoopy groundhogs are just as wrong as the weather guessers are most of the time. We want Spring! Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Any takers for frozen tree and road weather??? We have it and we will gladly give it up to whoever wants a frosty kingdom!!! Well, our neighbor’s horse is starting to shed could he be better at predicting spring coming soon…..oh we hope so! Stay dry, warm and inside=^Y^=Thomas and theBoyz

    We would not mind rain.
This Winter we have had more snow than
any Winter we remember. At least a good few years anyway.
We do not mind the snow(we are indoor cats) but it would
be warmer with rain. Today, it is cold!
Mind you, only Mom has to go outside 😉 heehee
You look cozy on the couch Brian !

You ARE lucky not to get the freezing rain we got. It’s so treacherous to walk. When the sun starts to melt the ice, it’s falling in large chunks off buildings, trees and wires. That’s as dangerous as falling on the ice.

  21. Sue Brandes

We’ve got that cold stuff again and snow coming for the weekend. Think I would prefer the rain too. Have a great Thursday.

  22. Flynn

I don’t think we can take much more rain here in the Westcountry without sinking Brian. It has been torrential since before Christmas with just the odd couple of hours now and again when the sun has tried to shine. Tuesday night we had gales with wind gusts of 95mph recorded. We are waiting for the next storm at the weekend and have been told it is expected to be worse than the last which has caused widespread damage.

  23. Mr. Black

Yes, rain is good! We got some too, and we really needed it.

Just ignore that stupid groundhog. He doesn’t know what he is doing. I think he’s pulling some sort of a scam. I’ll bet he makes the big bucks for his annual “ritual.”

  24. Clooney

Brian we are so glad your temps are milder and we hope it continues to be better weather for you folks! Have a wonderful weekend kitties!

  25. Connie

it is a tough call for me.. the last time we had monsoon type weather our roof leaked..

but if you prefer rain, then YAY! rain!! 🙂

  26. PepiSmartDog

We could swap you some white stuff for some sunshine? It’s too hot where we are, so we’d be happy to take either rain or white stuff. *packing up a box of sunbeams for you* Hope to see you in Thankful Thursday again buddy. Thanks for always supporting us. XXX :=o)
