Mancat Monday: The Sickies Have Visited Again

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
Before I tell you about the sickies, Sister Sascha wanted me to thank all of you for the kind comments about her lion cut. She said that makes her feel a lot better about it and it really does feel better.  Sister Sascha doesn’t like the brush or the comb so she often ends up with the worst mats.  So, it is either a lion cut or change her name to Mattie.  We think she made a good choice.

Now for the sickies, and Sister Sascha is one of them.  Sascha was actually sneezing before she went to the lion factory but now she has had the full blown yucks.  Remember when five of us were sick right after Thanksgiving and Sister Gracie ended up in the hospital for ten days.  There were two here that did not get sick, Sascha and Zoe.  Well, now the two that are sick are Sascha and Zoe.  It is that same horrible URI stuff, with all the sneezing and snotty noses.  So, they are both on antibiotics.  Sister Sascha seems to have it worse so she is also taking a pretty hefty antihistamine.  We were are so scared that Sister Gracie would get it again, but so far it has left her alone, thank goodness.

I think they are both doing better but they are not completely well yet.  This thing seems to run for about ten days so hopefully by the end of the week they will be okay.

I sure hope everyone has a terrific week and remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

We do hope that Sascha and Zoe will feel 100% very soon. Do you get Lysine mixed in with your food? It does help with recurrent URIs!

I totally understand the Lion cut. Meredith Ann gets matts if I don’t comb her and she hates it. She had a total cut that was growing out when I got her from the rescue group. She looked funny, don’t tell her I said that though.

Hope the two girls get better. Jasmine Marie got the cold a few months ago. Sounded terrible but didn’t get worse. I’d taken her in for them to check her but she got better eventually.

Take Care over there,
JC

My kitty Sophie had a bad cold a week or so ago. Mom was so mad because she was sneezing all over all of us, sniffling too, and she didn’t want it to spread. It seems to be almost gone now and so far (paws crossed) no one else has come down with anything.

Mom once had two cockapoo dogs and she siad themats were awful, especially if they got out in the rain. So she is very glad that mats are not a part of our furs:)

We have all our paws crossed for Sasha and Zoe to be well soon and for there to be no other victims of that evil sickness.

Woos – Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning

Sometimes, Cats Herd You

We understand about the matting thing. Newton has to get his underarms manscaped for the same reason, Sascha. We hope that Sascha and Zoe feel better soon and that Gracie doesn’t catch the bug. Maybe if it’s the same strain of URI, she’ll have some resistance? Paws crossed that everyone is healthy again soon!

Oh noes! We hope the meds will get Sascha and Zoe feeling better quickly. Poor girls. At our home, Ling has started sneezing too so Mommy is adding L-Lysine to her meals. Hopefully that will keep it from getting into a full blown yuck.
